2022 May 4.5 A good size park with a playground, beach, volley ball area, open space and a boat launch. A good place to start your sea vessel onto the lake. A good amount of free parking though on the weekends it's sure to fill up. About 60 or so right by the south side of the beaches. With additional 40 on another lot. The park itself is nice with designated areas for picnics. Public washrooms are available. Public bikes are available for rent as well. Tip: don't park along side the street where the bikes are located unless you want a ticket.
The place is nice and huge. Bike rental is available for $3.50 plus tax for 30 min. The bike conditions were really good. This park has access to the beach but again it's not that clean and since I was there on Monday I can see green algae on the shore. But the life guard was there for safety, the water was a bit cold. There is a kids park there. The bike trail is really nice. Sandy beach volleyball is great as well! BBQ: did not get a chance to do bbq but others were doing there so i believe it was allowed.
Hide park of Toronto One of the biggest parks of Great Toronto Area. It located on west part of the city. Not far from lake Ontario. The great river and so many huge and beautiful trees and a long walk side inside the park. On the middle of May is the best time to watch beautiful cherry blossoms . It is really beautiful and fantastic. I recommend it . Don't miss it on May.
One of the best parks in this area, it is big and beautiful. You should plan and reach early since it may have parking issues as it is busier on the weekends. It has a boat launch place as well. Really enjoyed my picnic with friends here.
Found this place a few years ago before the pandemic, this is a great place for kids to come down and spend the day. There is tons of space to either have a picnic play at the splash pad or enjoy the beach. It does become very hard to find parking in the afternoon so best bet it is to come early so you can get a spot. There is a food vendor on location which is a bit pricy but the food is good.
A good place to hangout, sit on the beach or do some recreational activities such as kayaking. One of the few parks where I have seen a cafe that serve good food. Decent parking space in two places around the park.
This is my favourite park around here. Located amond buildings, this park provides good space to people of all ages. There are huge gardens, a fountain place for kids, bridges and trails, quiet areas for basking in sun too. Usually closed in winter months but spring and summer it is open.
Nice park at the lakefront. This is the place where Etobicoke creek meets the lake. It has a nice little beach, dont expect it to be white sandy but nice enough to be on a sunny day while kids enjoy the sand and water. The park also has a splash pad and play area. Splash pad is operational only during summer months. Google maps directs to east side parking lot, which gets busy during good weather days. I would suggest parking in the lot, which is on west side of the park, right beside the dog park as that has more spaces.
Such a beautiful, spacious, one of a kind park! Totally impressed with what it has to offer. A must go, if you appreciate the beauty of nature, and its surroundings! Whether to walk, jog, relax, meditate, bike, or play. As well all different species of trees, upon trees! All wiithin the surroundings of lovely Etobicoke Creek and Marie Curtis beach Lake Ontario. Playground with a variety of playground equipment, for a variety of ages. Wading pool with decorative, fun looking sprinklers. Plenty of seating, and washrooms.
Beautiful scenery and was kept very clean! We loved how there were so many different types of animals just in the water here such as different types of ducks, geese and swans which made it really interesting as they were all friendly and cute. Looks like there’s always people feeding them here so that was special to see! Views were gorgeous and was really fun walking along the lake to admire the houses and scenery of the lake. Would come back for sure in the summer.
