UPDATE: before they closed for renovations I thought they were upgrading the place. Not completely change the name and some products inside. All the groceries I use to get are not longer there. I’m kinda sad because Hawaii marche was one of my favourite Asian stores with good prices. before the update I gave 5 stars, now I get them 1. Some of the produce they had put for clients was hard to choose from because they have mould in them! I even came home with some vegetables with mould which was a waste of money. Don’t bother coming. ————————————————————————- This place has a lot of great options for little Asian snacks and drinks to choose from. Each aisle is long and packed with anything and everything you need. I love that each area is very clean and organized. They have a good selection of meat products and fresh produce. The cashiers are very nice and sweet. I love coming here for all those reasons and they also have very unique plants if you have a green thumb check them out.
Not the Asian store you were used to, they changed the administration and the store itself, and now are trying to piggyback on the old Marche Hawaii's good reviews.
I think the place changed owners or something. But the quality was quite bad. The fruits and veggies are not fresh looking at all and prices are not great for as compared to other stores. Variety is lacking and it doesn't seem like they care to get rid of things that went bad. The workers just seem to stroll around although they where nice. The meat section was seriously lacking and there was some mislabeling on some products. A lot of the aisles were empty. I came here to stock up on some Asian produces and some thoroughly disappointed!
Very large Asian grocery store, with a huge variety of items including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai and more. There are entire huge aisles devoted entirely to tea, and another to rice, noodles and such. Lots of really interesting candies, treats and a good selection of Pocky and flavoured mochi. Carries a nice selection of asian-style dishware, along with cooking utensils, tools and chopsticks. There is a sort of deli bar resto section in the corner, along with seating. You can purchase various food items, sandwiches, soups, etc to eat on the spot, or to take out. I used to travel all the way to Chinatown for some specialty items, but now I come here as it is closer and also has a much better selection.
New owners. Looks nicer but variety sucks. No more Thai bananas, dried fried onions, specific ramen noodles like before. Internet connection was very slow do my banking card did not work. Cashier insisted that it was my bank card the problem NOT!! and insisted I pay by credit card. Sorry you lost 4 customers forever Saturday
They took over Marche Hawai. It is honestly different in a good way, they have a huge pastry section and it is still in development, but prices of marche Hawai for certain items are still the same for now. I miss the tropical fruits, like Dragon Fruits,Jackfruits, Soursops etc marche Hawai used to carry, on the east side it was making a difference. But it ia okay
Everything here is good and at a good price plus the staff are so nice I come here every time I need some meat
I love it. Nice clean place. Great products and produce you can't find else where
Very clean and spacious Asian supermarket with vast variety of products. The aisles are wide enough to have a pleasant shopping experience without invading anyone's personal space. Huge variety of fresh produce, meats and seafood. Each time I'm in the area, I go shop there as I've never had such a pleasant experience in any Asian supermarket. COUP DU COEUR: Tiramisu Oreo biscuits From Japan! Thanks Jenna for introducing these to me
Since they change name they seem to have cut in half the selection. I no longer find the product I was looking for. They change some sections The New stuff are not asian. I'll go elsewhere it's not worth the detour.
