Very unprofessional business owner by the name of Marlene Williams. I had a brazilian done here, which was an extremely uncomfortable experience. She rushed the whole appointment knowing she had another client on the way. Once her next client arrived she went to greet her and left me laying there as she continued to talk to her client. She went back forth into both rooms, which then she left the door slightly opened so that she could converse. I had used a Groupon for the payment of my visit yet Marlene still required me to pay tax. Groupon clearly states that taxes were included in the coupon. 

The spa is not the nicest environment, old crooked floors and "hospital-like" lighting. It is not somewhere you would enjoy a treatment. 

I would advise anyone to avoid this location. I can only seem to find negative reviews of her establishment which certainly represents the business.

My experience at Mar Skin Care was horrible.
I found Mar Skin Care through a Living Social deal for eyelash extensions. I booked my appointment 2 weeks prior over the phone but when I arrived, the owner/esthetician had no record of my appointment even though it was her I made the appointment with. 
She was clearly displeased about having to give me a treatment with a Living Social voucher, and went on and on about how Living Social is not paying merchants for vouchers purchased online. After several minutes of complaining that she was doing this basically "for free", I finally said that was something she would have to figure out with Living Social, not me. 

When I described what I was looking for with the eyelash extensions, all she could say was "We'll see." I should have walked out then. 

She rushed through the process since her next appointment was in 45 minutes. She answered her cell and texted during the treatment. At the end, she ripped first aid tape off my under-eyes like a band-aid, which was really painful. I had to gently pry my eyes open from the glue that was holding my lids together. When I looked in the mirror, i saw she had given me VERY long and sparse lashes, not the thick, short, natural looking ones I had requested. I could see globs of glue, which she said was kleenex fluff from when I wiped my tears away. I paid the tax, and gave her a small tip (stupidly) and left. 

I have since had the lashes removed (elsewhere) after 2 weeks of PAIN, DISCOMFORT, ITCHING, AND THE LOSS OF 1/2 OF MY NATURAL LASHES. The lash stylist who removed them for me said she has never seen such a terrible job of extensions before. She couldn't identify the type of glue or lashes that were used. She had glued one thick extension to about 10 of my natural lashes (it should be one on one). My natural lashes are ruined. DO NOT GET LASH EXTENSIONS HERE! 
Lash extensions are becoming very popular, and people are doing a 2 or 3 day course to get trained, and then calling themselves professionals. Go somewhere where lashes are their specialty, not just another service provided at a salon. Make sure the stylist has LOTS of experience, and listens to how you want them done. There is no reason why extensions should feel uncomfortable at all, even while growing out.
