I hired Maple roofing to install a new tear-off roof on a house we bought in Warren. Communication was bad from the start. They showed up on a random day without me knowing they were going to start. Luckily we were not living in the home yet. The roof was installed and less than a week later at the first rainfall, water was pouring in from where the addition meets the original house. Originally the house had a flat rubber roof over the addition due to the very low slope of the roof over the addition. Jim talked me into putting shingles on it as he was sure it was steep enough for proper water drainage. Water was pooling and flowing in like you turned on your faucet. It also leaded over the back door wall from the addition. Both leaks took over 5 re-peat visits to fix, and as I write this I am still not sure if the last attempt to fix the door wall leak worked. But I told Jim (the owners son) that if this is not fixed at this point than I have no confidence that maple can ever fix it, and i will be hiring someone who can and will be sending them the bill. To this Jim replied, "Well your threats don't scare us". Jim used foul language in front of my wife and made it seem as if we were bothering them with our constant calls for repair. My mother in law used maple roofing for her new tear-off roof and her roof is leaking also. Overall it was a terrible experience and they should be held accountable.
