Manvirro's Indian Grill

Manvirro's is a good Indian restaurant. Indian food is some of my favorite and this restaurant does a good job with its curries and breads. Great service too, cheerful and prompt.

I've learnt something about moving from an ethnically diverse city (Surrey) to small town Vancouver Island. Don't expect the quality and flavour of your favourite ethnic foods here because the population is largely Caucasian and hasn't gotten to experience GOOD ethnic foods with real spices and flavour. I'm sad to make this realization but it's true of Indian and Vietnamese, Chinese, etc menus. I can make better tasting butter chicken from scratch in my own kitchen than the restaurants here can offer... Which might as well be tomato soup. Dim sum is sad and tasteless here. I never thought I would miss the mainland but since moving to Comox valley, my palate is extremely unchallenged.

Very tasty garlic naan, both crispy and soft, just right. Food was excellent with a good range of mild to tear-inducing dishes, all very flavourful. The staff were helpful and service was prompt. Whilst the decor is a bit dated the interior is clean and it has a nice dinner ambiance without excessive noise. Looking forward to eating there again to try more of the extensive menu.

Tastes so good! Good food for a good price. Great service and clean restrant. Favorite place :)
