Review about the dog park. We didn't hit the main area. Be careful with the dog park as it's not completely fenced in. The right side is fenced in with plastic strip. So I wouldn't suggest coming if your dog runs off or doesn't listen. It is off of the main road where there is a bend so be careful getting out and in your vehicle it's a small parking area. With that being said if it is full I would come back. It's just a small off the leash strip for your pup to experience the water. I did take all of my 4 kids and pup. We had fun for 30 min letting out dog experience the water. Will definitely come back next time.
My husband grew up here and it's amazing to know the lifeguards know us by name and still remembered him and hy is siblings as a child. I drive from Entoat to enjoy the park with our children.
Large area to swim with life guards. Sandy bottom. Close to main street with food and treats. Lots of room for parents to sit on concrete steps/bleachers near the water. Also, a nice grassy area is close that has trees for shade.
A good place to dip your toes into the icy crystal cool waters of Lake Chelan. There's a swimming area and on duty lifeguards during the summer season. Popular with the locals and children of all ages. If you're feeling adventurous rent a jet ski at the shoreline rental adjacent to the park. Very clean and convenient access for handicapped or wheelchair bound persons. Have fun and go jump in the lake!
Visited the dog park off to the right of the main beach park. It's a small fenced area along the road with a little bit of grass for dogs to run and relieve themselves. Probably great for dog owners with pups that love to swim, since there's calm water access for them. My only gripe is that my wily pup explores and climbed over the rocky edge and around the fence that doesn't go all the way to the water, so he was able to get outside of the park and jetted right into the street. I about had a heart attack and fortunately it was early so no cars came by. Do not recommend if you have a runner or a dog that explores boundaries, because both ends of the dog park are not secure and the fence entrance is also opening a lot and right by the road for any escape artists.
Plenty of room to safely swim in the lake with lifeguards. It has a snocone stand right next to it that was a nice treat for the kids before leaving. I will definitely visit here again. If your allergic to bees bring your epipen with you.
Without question our favorite place to swim. And I love cold plunging here. Sandy beach, steps down to the water in summer, nice dock. But above all that Viki Downey has created a legacy! She has run the swim program here for many years, trained many many life guards and taught many kiddos how to swim - including ours. They enjoy it too. Plus, it’s right down town. Clean and nice bathrooms. So much to offer. We love this spot!!!
Been swimming here ever since I can remember.. always a family oriented place to be. have fun and make memories. when the season starts the life guards are awesome friendly and always aware ...above all clean and the fresh water to swim in, is always a must
My family and our friends always have a great time at this park! Kids swim and jumped off the dock all day! Thankful for the lifeguards and for keeping our swimmers safe! We especially appreciate the ‘No Pool Floats’ rule when the bay is busy. Park is always clean and lifeguards are fully engaged and friendly. Can’t wait to visit again!
Nice peaceful park with a perfect place for a swim. Swam there twice last week.
