Called in and Manny insisted that I bring the car in I repeatedly asked to email pictures before driving 45 minutes to Toronto. Stopped by the shop to get a quote. First impression was pretty bad because nobody pays attention to you once you walk in. However, once I made contact with Manny and asked him to quote me on a repair, he didn’t seem interested because it was an “easy fix” I assume it didn’t bring him much money perhaps. Unfortunately, this caused him to lose business. Took my vehicle elsewhere and got it repaired. Sorry Manny, you seem like a nice guy but you have to realize business is business— regardless of the shape, form, or size.
I had an issue with my sunroof wouldn't open and brought it to Manny for a diagnosis. While he couldn't find the issue, he didn't charge me for the time and send me to a local electrical specialist Galaxy Auto - Highly Recommended who was able to fix it. They were gracious, beyond helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended.Service: Auto power window repair
Manny's had replaced some side vent window gaskets on a MK1 Cabriolet. They really did a butcher job and complained how hard it was to do afterwards. If I knew that before I would have gone some where else. Black caulking all over the door to cover up the poor fitting gasket and they didn't adjust the stiffness of the vent window as asked so it flapped closed when driving. They should have just passed on this project, if they didn't know how to do it properly. If you have an average car or a taxi these are your guys. If you care about your car look else where.Services: Retrofitting
I've gone to Manny's twice to get windows replaced and found them to do great work and the cost is very reasonable. The last time I went in to replace a small window on the side of the car, he called several places to source the glass when the prices didn't make sense to him. I appreciated his dedication to finding the right parts for a great price. Like another review said, the place is run-down, but in my opinion the work is FANTASTIC and the price can't be beat. Well worth it!
I brought my car back a year after repair was done to the sunroof at Manny's. The sunroof is not closing properly and is not flush with the car roof. Last year a mechanic at Manny's apparently tightened something and the issue was addressed... or so I thought. I brought in the car a few days ago and Manny looked at it. He then asked me to leave it for the day so that the sunroof can be repaired. I left it at 10 a.m. and returned at 5 p.m. when I did not hear back from anyone at the garage. Upon my arrival many stated that there has nothing wrong with the car. I pointed out the gap between the sunroof and the car roof then proceeded to also show him that once the sunroof slides open it does not close. He acknowledged this and admitted that no one looked at the car for the entire day. I asked why he did not call me earlier in the day to notify me that there is no time to fix my car. This way I can come pick it up and not have wasted my entire day off waiting for a car that wasn't even being checked out. He just shrugged and said that everyone was busy. He then called and mechanic over who promptly looked at the sunroof and declared that there is nothing he can do about it. I pointed out that it was the same mechanic who had fixed it last year. He then ask how much I paid for the repair the previous year. I showed him the invoice in which Manny quoted me $50 plus tax. Both Manny and the mechanic stated that $50 is not a lot and that I should not be surprised that the repair they made did not last. I find it unprofessional for them to claim that $50 is not a lot of money when that was what they had quoted me for the repair in the first place. They were basically saying that because they quoted me $50 I should not expect good workmanship at Manny's. I've read the reviews on Google in which some people claim that Manny's is cheap and does good work but based on my experience I would beg to differ. Yes the work is inexpensive but the "repair" is substandard. Manny clearly does not stand behind the work that is done in his shop. I would rather go to a dealership and pay more money to have them stand behind their work. I tried attaching pictures of the invoice as well as the sunroof but the feature doesn't exist. I definitely do not recommend this repair place as they clearly do not care about customers' time, the quality of their work and certainly do not stand behind it.
Excellent work. I had repairs done to sport seats in a 2002 mini cooper. The seats each have several different panels, and 5 of them were replaced. The work is well crafted and the seats looks as good as new. Price was fair and service delivered on time. I would definitely recommend Manny's to others.
I did my Honda CRV vinyl flooring & back seat covers since I do UBer sometimes from these guys on Nov 19, 2019. These guys are simply amazing. It’s been a month now and I have had no issues. The finishing looks amazing but they take way too many hours to finish the job. Any day would recommend these guys for Vinyl flooring.
Much better than expected! Quality work, and classy stitching at a very fair price. Manny's technician removed 3 rows in my brand new Kia Sorento, covered the entire interior with soft vinyl liner and reinstalled all my seats properly. Turnaround in just one-day. As a rideshare driver, I have adjusted all my seats and everything is in great working order.
2005 Volvo XC70 Got my windshield replaced for a reasonable price and on time. Manny's is located right around the corner from me but I have never used their services. I would gladly do business with them again. The windshield was replaced with an OEM brand. I was a bit skeptical of it's quality as I've had issues in the past with not using an original windshield on other makes. They assured me that this is not a concern with today's products. I'm glad to say that the windshield is great! No optical distortions within the feild of view, and the rain sensor works!
