What a great treasure Mandy's is for Eugene. Love that we could get items from breakfast & lunch at almost 5pm. We had the Salmon Caesar - salmon was good & plenty of dressing on the salad. Also got the Skillet Benny - so much food! Plenty of homefries and bacon and sauce was yummy! Will be back to try more and try the dinner menu too. Shout out to our server Cindy who was friendly & attentive! Great experience!
Quaint family restaurant. Country chic interior. Serves breakfast, lunches and dinner. The wife and I went for breakfast. The service was outstanding. Drinks ordered and delivered promptly. The cups were large enough that I never finished it. Food was delivered hot. Can't ask for anymore. The breakfasts ordered were delicious, had large portions but with one minor complaint, the country potatoes. It was not what I was expecting. So ask questions, do not assume. Otherwise a pleasant experience while traveling.
Love this place. Craving a good chicken salad? This is the place to go. Want to study for a final while you chow down? Come here. Had a little too much to drink and need a fast and easy breakfast? Walk on over. Their menu has everything an American diner boasts. We met the owner and daughter last time we popped in and they are so friendly, sociable, and welcoming. One of my new favorite places.
Delicious foods and a wide variety to choose from for breakfast, lunch and; though I've yet to try it, dinner. An asset to the Eugene food scene. Definitely great breakfast and lunches!! Large portions at great prices. Fast and really friendly service.
Ok, like many places these days, Mandy's is short-handed, so we thought the service was going to be bad. But the service was great, and so was the food. They have the best shakes in town at a restaurant and good burgers. The breakfast menu is really why you go here, though.
I've ate here a lot lately. Some of the cooks need improvement with a couple dinner items. Love the fireplace and it's even nicer with the candles lite on top, almost all the food is really good, although I would rather not have such huge portions of carbs, instead a lower price, especially when everyone is becoming obese and diabetic, I believe more places need a second diabetic menu, the staff is pretty good. Smothered chicken was really good, just too much chicken for me, I would prefer a thinner piece along with the toppings, green beans were so good, my friend got chicken alfredo which was really good, but more chicken then needed and only needs 1 piece of toast with all the carbs, salad is only lettuce, onion and tomato, I don't like raw onion even though my boyfriend does, it should be chopped up, but happy that this place has avocado to put with tomatoes although i don't want to pay extra for something I like on a salad, cucumber should be an option in place of onion, another friend got taco salad it was good, but would have rather had iceberg lettuce option just because it's easier to chew for some people, larger shell then needed. Anything that is spicy should also have an option for no spice like their salsa, also the meatloaf which was too spicy to me wasn't mentioned on the menu for people that are sensitive to spicy. The outside of it was obviously fried to heat up & way over cooked. The ketchup should be caramelized on the meatloaf while baking. Beef brisket is great, but one time out of 3 the aus jus was way too salty. Breakfast there is really good, once again more potatoes then needed when more people are trying to do low carb and the homefries are so good you want to eat them all. One time i got sweet potatoes that were overcooked, but doesn't look like they usually are, they should be orange and brown, not all dark. Love that they have my favorite honey mustard sauce to go with them, corn beef hash seemed to have added salt and was too salty which is not needed. Loved the big cup of cocoa w/whip cream and little blue sprinkles. Look forward to trying more.
Ice cream and Great food! Tigerblood milkshake is worth the trip to Mandy's. Raspberry and coconut shake......delicious! Mandy has reasonable prices and often is the one serving you. If you found this review to be helpful please like it.
Ordered chicken fried steak this morning. That part was good. But I ordered scrambled eggs, sourdough, and potatoes on the side. What I received is white toast, over medium eggs, and the worst part was the potatoes absolutely smothered in Buffalo sauce and blue cheese that I did not order. I have acid reflux and a toddler, neither of us can eat this $20 meal. Atleast thanks to grub hub I got a partial refund. My order has been wrong several times from your establishment, please do better.
Service was excellent. Loved the chicken fried steak and eggs with sausage gravy. The only thing I didn't like were the home fries, they were over done and dry. We were just driving through Eugene but would definetely come back if we are ever back in town.Food: 5/5
Mandy's Family Restaurant was well rated on Google Maps. This is always something taken into consideration as I believe in peer review! As we approach, we already have a good feeling, and it looks homie and inviting. We were quickly seated and served. The food was exactly what we expected. The holindaise sauce was thick, rich, and creamy, egg yolks were pornographic as they should be, the Canadian bacon was thin sliced and stacked, which was a respectable variation within the dish and the muffins were thick and soft. The potatoes were obviously cooked in a cast iron pan and did not disappoint The coffee was just ok, this seems to be a theme for me in Eugene lol. You can expect to find it in a typical awkward park of town on the edge of the neighborhood and just doors down from Eugene's famous bottle shop. Within walking distance from Lane Event Center.
