We are so lucky to have a restaurant like this in NL! It’s authentic, fresh, and their grocery items are great! I found a sauce there that I’d been searching for for YEARS. The birria tacos and tamales are delicious! Tortilla chips are the best I’ve ever had as well. Really good prices and the owner/staff are super helpful and friendly!
Restaurant/store is very small, making it challenging for more than 2 people at a time to browse or wait in line. It was very hot inside--a stuffy kind of heat.nnThe store had plenty of authentic Mexican items offered that you won't find anywhere else in Newfoundland and Labrador.nnThe store had things from pre-made food to candy to non-alcoholic drinks.nThe restaurant menu offered some appealing choices, but most of it included meat.nThe restaurant/store offers a few vegan/vegetarian food items.nI ordered vegan tamles. They tasted okay. I would've liked more flavor, but they were alright.nI'll try something different next time.nnI'm very appreciative to have access to authentic Mexican food on the island. We don't have enough cuisine from other countries around the world.
I've been here several times now, and have had a fantastic experience every time. The store has a great selection of products, the hot food I have tried has been delicious, and the staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. If I can't make it to Mount Pearl, I typically get their frozen meals and ingredients from Urban Market. So glad to have Mamacita in the community!
My fav restaurant in the city.nAmazing for delicious authentic Mexican food and also for treats and a large variety of grocery items!nThey have convenient pre made meals which are perfect for anyone on the go or on a lunch break!nTheir rice pudding is to die for!nTo top it all off, the service here is the best. Some of the most kind and accommodating humans.
Delicious and authentic tamales! Their refried beans were tasty too. Great selection of Mexican groceries and ingredients. My partner is Mexican and he loved it! We highly recommend Mamacita
