First off, I barely ever write reviews. It was take out night at a group home I work at. We placed over a $100 order for take out. The order was messed up, the food was sub par and the owner was very short while placing the order. I called to explain and give feedback. The woman on the phone was nice. She did not try and remedy the issue, however. I understand things are crazy now. But, food quality should not take a hit given the circumstances. Afterall, the food put out the door reflects the business. Overall, poor experience from a local restaurant. Attached is a photo of my $16 poutine that went in the trash.
Orderer ahead, food was hot and ready when I arrived. Large portion and delicious. I've had a mind to try ravioli for awhile, and I'm very pleased with it!Food: 5/5
I had Hawaiian pizza tonight at Mamma’s Place and it was excellent. I have been going to the restaurant for several years and can say that the meals are always great. The owner made the pizza and was serving as well. As usual he was very friendly and courteous. I had not been in the store for a while but he still remembered my last name. I was surprised and impressed at the same time because it says a lot about the importance, he places on getting to know his customers. In fact, all his staff are always courteous and friendly. He has obviously done a great job of hiring the right people and making customer service a top priority. I do recall a time when they made a mistake with my pizza order. The owner automatically offered to make another pizza and he offered the pizza they had mistakenly prepared free of charge. All to say, the food is great, the customer service is excellent and when they make a mistake, they fix the problem to keep their customers happy. I highly recommend Mamma’s Pizza.
The food was amazing! Gravy for poutine was delicious...must try their Philly steak poutine. We also had a wonderful pizza and the sauce was homemade yumminess. Staff were very friendly and inviting. The right amount of attentiveness. Prices were very good. Atmosphere was clean and tidy. Recommend visiting Almonte for a day trip or longer and a must stop at Mamma's Place!
I ordered Takeout; Cheese burger & zucchini strips, Bacon Cheeseburger & fries. I was told there it'd be ready in 45 minutes. When I got there around 45 later, it was not ready. No problem. Waited 10 minutes and received it. The cashier was lovely & friendly. Drove it immeditelyto my sister @ Orchard View; just 2 minutes away. Both burgers were black scorched on their bottoms and impossible to eat. The zucchini strips and fries were cold and soggy. Disgusting. $45 incl 20% tip My sister called them back to complain & wanted to talk to the owner to give the details on the quality or lack off I should say of the food received. He "couldn't" come to the phone and never returned her call. I will NEVER EVER recommend this place nor will I ever support this business again.
I very much enjoy the food at this restaurant, I get the mammas lasagna every time. I made an online order for the mammas lasagna however when I got it was delivered, it was the spaghetti and not the lasagna. I called them to let them know my order was wrong, they seemed very apologetic and told me they would get the correct ordered to me as soon as they could. They called me back 2 minutes later and told me they ran out of lasagna noodles and couldn’t give me what I originally ordered, they didn’t even offer to refund me. If they had truly run out of lasagna noodles, they should have reached out to me and told me so the first time around as I would have cancelled my order. Or they didn’t want to remake the order/deliver what I actually ordered due to the snowstorm/them being busy so they made up an excuse.
They have great pizza, the deep fried pickles were amazing and the shawarma was bigger than my head which was also delicious. Highly recommend this mom and pop shop!
First time trying. We chose delivery and had a poutine with a platter of fried food. Everything was ready and delivered quickly plus it tasted great!
Our first time here, wonderful experience. Excellent food very fresh, quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend
