Got the platter for 2 ppl. Beef Kabob was pretty good, juicy and rich. Chicken was spicy. The sauce came with pita was also hot. Salad was disappointing, but understandable given it’s not their specialty.. Pita was good to go with Kabob, and it was freshly made. You need to help yourself there… basically they call you and you go to grab your food, utensils are disposable also.
Ḥalāl: Yes Prices: $ to $$ The premises were clean, the staff was kind and we received our sit down meals in about 5-10 minutes. Been here a few times, the tandoori chicken is great as well as their butter chicken. Verdict: Yes, I would crave their food, and yes, I would return to the restaurant if I was in the area.
Despite their super unfriendly service I still give them 4 stars because of food and portion size. Ordered take out chicken biriyani Tuesday special $8 including tax. They were just starting for the day and two staffs were busy setting up. When I finally got their attention to order biriyani, only thing staff said was “cash!” Well I don’t expect proper greetings or anything from this place any more. I got plenty of chicken bone in and sooooo much rice. I could easily make 3-4 portions out of this biriyani, if I added more proteins and my own veggie dishes. Rice was moist, strong cardamom & cloves flavour. It also came with green cilantro sauce as well.
The great Bengals do it again. Bihari kebab was impeccable and the sauce was divine. Would recommend 10 out of 10 although, at times it can be inconsistent.
Their nan kebab is the best food they make. Very good price. Biriani and chotpoti were very bad. They are pretty busy. They can easily have a better arrangement and cleanliness if they want.
The food is amazing here! The tandoori chicken, the biryanis rice, the channa masala, the samosas, the fresh nann!
This is my favourite Pakistani & Indian restaurant in North America by a long shot. I’ve been going for over 20 years !!! and it’s always fantastic.Recommended dishesChicken Tikka
I'll give you my honest opinion. I order rice pulao and chicken curry. Not so likable. Pulao dont have smell of real polao more like burning smell. Chicken curry not sure i think i can cook better. They dont have borhani. I tried Adda and Chawk Bazar. Their stuff really good specially curry and pulao. I saw many people ordering kabab with naan. Maybe thats popular there. Not really sure. Place very clean, bathroom looks good. Overall looks like a neat and tidy restaurant. Not over price everything is reasonable price.
The customer service sucks, the person who takes order on the phone is so much in rush and is rushing you and not replying to queries? Makkah restaurant needs to train employees for better customer service. Second, the biryani was everything but a biryani. Low quality rice colored yellow and chicken with random masala on it. Feel like wasted my money and no one ate the biryani at all. Will give minus ten - 10 to the biryani out of ten.
Assalam alaikum, tpday i had pomfret fish fry with naan, was amazing ma shaa Allah, quantity and quality were both good. Earlier i had mutton karahi which tasted good as well. Definitely recommended. Naan was very fresh. Vegetarian options: Chana masala and many more vegetarian curries.
