I got the Butter chicken sandwich combo with Mango milkshake. I ordered for take out from Major Joy. Their butter chicken sandwich is a real treat. The sauce is really rich and flavorful. For people that can't handle spicy food, this is a good choice. The chicken fillet is huge and very filling, especially on a long day of fasting. I topped the meal off with their refreshing mango milkshake.
It was my first experience at this restaurant yesterday. Ladies behind the counter were very polite and friendly. Food was good.. the interior was nice.. Will definitely come back but I do however wanna add that though it was nice for the owner's father to approach and greet. I felt harassed when he asked me twice during my dine in to leave a good review for the restaurant. I didn't appreciate that at all. Please don't do that!.
Excellent Tandoori Chicken sandwich with Fries and their Choco shake. On the side we ordered the Major Hot sauce Found this place from co-workers, I work in the area and live in White Rock Tonight was worth the 20km drive! One thing I can recommend for your dine in guests, have a little music and or a TV! Beautiful space, and friendly staff!
Recently paid a visit to Major Joy after seeing a sister posting about it. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and wanted to check out their menu. What we ordered? - 3 pieces of Fried chicken - Tandoori, Major Hot and Lemon Pepper were the flavours - Chicken Sandwiches - Major Hot flavour - Butter Chicken Poutine - One Mango and One Kulfi Shake. They do not use processed sugar in their Shakes, everything is sweetened with dates. Major Joy has been opened for over over a year and in that year they have definitely improved their recipe and process. The fried chicken is crispy, not greasy, and the batter is a thin not very heavy coating so you get to taste more of the chicken. The chicken sandwiches are a large piece of chicken breast. This is a recipe enhancement from last time I went. They’ve definitely made the chicken sandwich bigger - the taste was delicious also. The sauces Major Hot was a good compliment to the chicken. Butter chicken poutine - nice taste on a Canadian Classic. They make the butter chicken sauce in house and add their chicken to it and pour it over fries and cheese curds. This was pretty tasty for sure. The shakes were delicious. The mango shakes were garnished with real pieces of mango which is nice to see. Glad to see some great improvements and they’ve taken customer feedback to heart. Halal Supplier is Superior Halal Poultry.
Major Joy Chicken definitely had me by surprise. Immediately upon entering, you are greeted with a smell of freshly cooked chicken. They have both fried or grilled chicken with a selection of different flavours to choose from. We got tandoori chicken, a grilled lemon pepper chicken burger and fried classic chicken burger. It was great that the chicken was not greasy and dry, but I think what stands out about this place is the flavour/sauces they add to enhance the chicken! I would also vouch for their sweet potato fries which were super super crispy. Overall, this is definitely a great place to stop by if you’re craving an Indian take on fried/grilled chicken.
Delicious crispy fried chicken packed with flavour try the major hot and lemon pepper with the creamy tandoori sauce not dry and not oily. friendly staff. Butter chicken poutine is tasty but I felt a bit expensive , and the kulfi shake is very good. Everything seemed fresh! Whenever I drive into Surrey I stop here to dine in. You may have to wait a bit approx 15 mins as they make the chicken fresh to order but it's totally worth it! Was nice to meet the Owner's Father Mr. Sahil he was very kind ,and I shared with him that I wish they open more locations. Keep up the great work Major Joy Team!
I would like to take a better picture but the food was so attempting that I forgot but I did it anyway on the half way. I wish I could give more then a 5 star, the new smash burger was out of this world. Highly recommend with best service
Amazing chicken, the selection of flavor is a total other level of chicken burger. Choosing between grill or Fried? Plus a variation of flavor. I took Fried chicken tandoori with fries and drink. 1 bites of the burger and I was overflowed by so much good flavors. It's simple, original and SO tasty. After finishing the burger I was already full but had to finish those amazing fries perfectly cook. The price is amazing for the quality of the product. I would say even better than Church chicken. I wanted to try those milkshake but I was so full. Looks like I have a reason to come back again I wish them all the best and hopefully extend all over Vancouver.
I am absolutely in love with the place; The food, the setting and the vibe! The service was very polite and helpful. Tons of options to choose from. And the food was just mind-blowing!! The lemon pepper and the spicy chicken along with seasoned fries turned out to be one of the best meals ever and the milkshake are to die for. Truly the best milkshakes i have ever had. Shout out to Christine! Thank you for making this experience so awesome and I’ll definitely be coming back soon. You are the best!
We ordered the kulfi shake, butter chicken poutine, lime chilli corn, and a crispy major hot chicken burger. The food was very filling and the fried chicken in the burger was not too oily or dry. The corn didn't really have any lime flavour, tho. Kulfi shake tasted very nice and the poutine was amazing. Seating was nice and clean.
