Solid noodle spot that has some great daily specials. I tried the Tuesday special, braised beef noodle soup, which was ready in a quick 15 minutes and tasted great. Noodles had good texture, portions were big, beef was tender and flavourful, and the broth was hot and fragrant.
Omg!! This is my best find of 2021! Even though I live nearby and pass by it so many times, it wasn't until earlier this month that I tried it. The noodles are amazing and super fresh. There's daily specials that are only $9.99! My favorite is the braised beef noodle - the take out portion size is so big that I can divvy it up into two meals usually. The staff are super friendly and service is very fast. Highly recommend, and I've made a trip to Maizuo a regular occurrence now
I would think eating warm hearty noodle soup on a hot summer day would not be a good idea but I was wrong! Went on a Saturday, their special is Goji lamb noodle soup and lamb crepe for $10 each. So so worth it! Soup is so flavorful, lots of meat, noodles taste freshly made and chewy. Decent veggies and toppings. I was going to slurp the soup the whole bowl but I was so full! The lamb crepe is very fulfilling, crunchy, lamb is full of spices and marinate and the crepe is egg crepe I believe. They cut the crepe in half for us as they see we are company of 2, nice gesture. Got the strawberry slushies as well, but nothing special. I will always consider to go here after visiting Eaton mall from now on. 10/10
Came here today for lunch. Had the spicy marriage, braised beef ‘noodlsoup’, chitterlings lover ’noodlsoup’. Very savoury and flavourful broth, good amount of noodles and toppings. Our server was so accommodating, as one of the soup was too spicy, he offered to switch out the broth for a less spicy version. Wonderful and attentive service, would highly recommend for everyone to try it out. Definitely will be back again to try the crepe and other items on the menu.
Affordable and delicious. I ordered takeout and everything was well packaged to be spill proof. I ordered chitterlings soup noodles with wide finger noodles - they had a large variety of noodle shapes. The noodles came with Bok Choy, Chinese pickles, chili oil chitterlings pig intestines and soup. The noodles seemed like they were freshly made. They had my order ready within 15 minutes, and the server was nice. I might become a regular here :
Update, December 2021: Noodles here still slappppp. Decided to change it up and got the fish/pickled mustard noodles with finger flat noodles. Toppings for this one include tofu cakes, fish fillet some sort of white fish, boneless, a bit of imitation crab, in a peppercorny numbing soup. All the daily noodle specials are good - I'll keep taking advantage while I can. -------------- Update, October 2021: Still good! Been back many times. Daily specials for $10! So worth. -------- Summer 2021: Called in for take out. Right off the bat, the employee made it clear that there was a 40% off promo. Ordered the Maizuo Signature with classic round noodles and the Beijing Crepe. Order was ready in 10 minutes. Brought it back to the office 10 min walk. The broth was in a separate container, still piping hot. Noodles and toppings in a separate bowl were warm. Crepe was massive. Both were delicious. Recommend ordering your own bowl of noodles and sharing the Crepe with someone.
Excellent noodle soup; got the special of the day goji lamb noodle soup so it was only $10. Lots of meat in the bowl, enjoyed the noodles and broth too. Service was excellent, they were very nice and accommodating and food came very fast. They even let us charge our phones lol. Highly recommend!
Ordered TAKEOUT. I got 2 braised pork belly noodle soups and a BBQ pork crepe. The portions were huge, I was super full after the noodles. The broth is pretty light and tasty and the noodles had a great texture. The pork belly was a bit dry and could use some more flavor. The crepe was interesting. Tasted good and was pretty big. Costed $25 all in due to a cash promotion.
I've had the Braised Beef noodle soup and if I remember right, the Spicy Marriage. Both were amazing and tasted great. Portions are large, so you'll get full no matter what you get. I had the MàiZuò Signature and a Beijing Crepe before as take out, and those tasted amazing too. Highly recommended this place!
Absolutely delicious and what I expected from this Northern Chinese style of food! We got the beef shank/lung/tripe appetizer, cumin lamb crepe, and the Xinjiang chicken gravy noodles. Generous portions and perfectly spiced and textured! I would only suggest that they make fresh peanut topping -- maybe fry it instead, because it came a little clumpy and anemic like it was in the fridge for too long. Otherwise you've got yourself a return costumer!
