We happened to come across this place. Nice Mexican food joint in downtown Squamish. We tried their pulled chicken chimichanga. It was prepared well. Nice balance of flavours. Ambiance was great and so was food.Just that service can be a bit lagging.We were not served water.Had to get to the counter to get water on our own
I had the fried chicken poutine and although the chicken wasn't my favourite, the fries were absolutely delicious. They have a lot of good food options, but the menu is a bit hard to follow. There is a drive thru which is super convenient and lots of good seating inside. This was good for a quick meal while passing through.
Mags99 special fried chicken was super delicious! The flavour was really good and the chicken very well cooked. Tried Chimichanga for the first time and liked it. Corn cob was also tasty. Would love to try other items on their menu.
This is not the old Mags 99....the location is out by the Industrial Park now, not on the highway entrance to Squamish. The food comes quickly from an order counter, but the value is so-so, and the white wine was warm. The Chips with layer dip was the best value at $6.95, while the corn was a terrible price at $3.95 per skewer.....better just to go to the local grocery store to purchase a couple of cobs for a home BBQ. Tacos were also so-so. A few grates of cheddar cheese on the bottom, cabbage from a pre-packaged bag, and pulled pork instead of Mexican slow cooked taco pork. A plus is the patio has afternoon shade and a water bowl for the pooches.
Wow. What an amazing experience. Quite possibly the best chimichanga I've ever had! Perfectly prepared and cooked with a wonderful flavor. Very fresh ingredients and topped with nice garnish. I highly recommend going here! Service was excellent and quick, and the food is the best! I also liked how the meal had a bit of spice too - I love it spicy! Go here today! The best place after a big hike!
We ordered the Enchilada casserole and Mexican Corn Meal Deal.... It was SOOOO delicious. The corn was finger licking good! Great meal for a great price
Great food, HUGE portions and reasonably priced. Knocked off 1 star because they don't have any high chair or booster seats for infants/ toddlers. That was very inconvenient for family with young kids.
This Mexican restaurant has a nice atmosphere with paintings and in the Mexican style. The food seems quite oily and apart from that I thought it was a bit expensive to 3 tacos and 3 quesadillas.Food: 3/5
The Gravy is bomb and you gotta dip the chicken in the gravy! The fries are also very good. I like how the white meat from the breast looks like a giant nugget. I do wish the grilled corn was closer to Mexican Elote with mayonnaise and cotija cheese but I don't know how accessible that cheese is in Squamish. The chimichanga is really good and good enough for 2 people. Spicy too. Spicy chicken was mild for me. Kid-friendliness: There's games and lots of colorful decorations that I think kids would like.
