We started with a couple pepperoni knots. They were good. I got the Meatball Parm Sub. It was good but could have used more cheese. My wife got the 2 pizza slice, salad and soft drink special. Salad was fresh. Pizza was flavorful but a little greasy. Staff was friendly and place was clean.
We stopped here on a whim and we were glad we did. They were hard at work making pizzas from scratch and really working the dough. I don't usually like buffalo chicken pizza but this one was worth having. The pepperoni was very solid. I wanted to try the garlic knots that were swimming in butter on the counter but will do that next time.
The pizza was the only good thing about this place. When we arrived, there was not one clean table in the dining room. Both high chairs were dirty. The floor was filthy. Waitress service was non-existent. The napkin dispenser had 4 napkins in it, and when we asked for more, they gave us a roll of paper towels. We asked for silverware mostly to cut food for the 2 children who were with us and they said they didn’t have any real silverware, just plastic. They did eventually bring us 2 knives and 2 forks. I will definitely never return here - and I am usually not very fussy at all!
Nice quiet place in downtown Greene. Mainly hand made pizza and subs. Wide selection of both. All made on premise. Pizza is thin crust with lots of gooey cheese. Tasty! Have very nice priced lunch specials. Eat In or Take Out. I will be back.
After not getting a table at 3 other restaurants in WP, and Greene, due to "graduation weekend?" we ended up here. You order at the counter and there is a side area for those dining in. What was not typical was that I did not see a menu or menu board anywhere. I'm guessing that local people know what they want and call in for take out? Ok, undaunted, I decided to order what pizza joints normally serve. I got a large salad with onions and olives and Italian dressing to share with my husband. I ordered a Stromboli with sauce on the side for him. I went with a dozen mild wings, and a large cheese pizza with extra sauce. [We like leftovers!] The salad was definitely large enough to share. The odd part, and I have been eating salad for 50 years, was that it probably had a half pound of diced cheese and a 1/2 to maybe even a whole can of chopped olives on it. Not really complaining, it was just A LOT of those items, like enough for 5 salads. The wings were crispy and done well. The mild sauce was mild. The Stromboli was decent, plenty to take to go. The pizza. Well. I guess extra sauce was too much for the crust, because it was doughy and almost soggy upon delivery to the table. I felt like if it had cooked at a higher temp for maybe 4-5 minutes? Anyway, not something you send a pizza back for. It was edible. It was hot. I suspected upon reheating using the frying pan method, it would improve the leftovers. Yes! At lunch today, my piece of pizza was much improved over the fresh version. A strange turn of events for what is normally the opposite pizza reheating situation. It was a solid B.
I just moved up here from Long Island yesterday. This place made THE BEST meatball parm hero and garlic knots I have ever had. Back on the island, we have some of the best pizzarias, but this place blew them out of the water.
The place is nice inside and the girl at the counter is very pleasant, attentive and helpful. The menu has a nice variety of items. My wife had the Mixed Meat Italian Sub, no mayo but with Italian dressing. She really enjoyed it. All the ingredients were very fresh and there was a nice balance of everything. The half sub was more than enough. I had the Chicken Parm Sub and it was equally delicious. That one came as a full size only and I took half home for a second lunch. It was our first time there but it's worth the 25 minute drive through some nice country and we will definitely be going back on somewhat of a regular basis.
I love this pizza place. My boyfriend and I eat from here at least once a week. We love the chicken bacon ranch pizza, never a disappointment. The garlic knots are good to. I absolutely love the honey bbq wings, the sauce is delicious and the wings are always perfectly crispy.
The best real steak sub I’ve ever had. Pizza is very good too!
Guy running register took my money, then went right to my slices and grabbed them with his dirty hands and put them in the oven, then used his apron to wipe his nose, then got my slices our of oven...DISGUSTING!!!!! USE GLOVES!!!
