Visited for breakfast. Good prices and quality. Sunday was a busy day. The free water pump now comes with a warning sign. I didn't ask if it gets tested regularly.

Quite little restaurant in small town of magnetawa,go every year at the cottage never disappoints food always fantastic.
The service was friendly, quick, and efficient. Definitely a home atmosphere and great little spot to grab a bite to eat. Will return for sure when in the area. Very clean dining area as well as bathrooms! Kid-friendliness: Change table in the bathrooms and a booster chair provided.
I'd heard about this place. Visited it with a friend mid-week. Lunch took its time to get to our table but that was fine. We were in no hurry. Tasty sandwiches, fries and slices of pie plus tip brought the bill to just over $50.
Great little spot to visit! Beautiful scenery. Went to see the "Church on the Rock", made famous by Group of Seven artist AJ Casson. Stopped for a hand scooped ice cream at the snack bar in town, picked up a few sundries at the "Grill and Grocery" store mental note.. Bring water bottles to fill at the natural spring out front!! and took a walk around the locks. Way more than I expected to see! Quaint and charming... A must stop on a trip down Old Nipissing Road through all the little ghost towns.
The food was really good and the staff was nice. The restaurant itself was also really pretty and we had a view on the lake from where we were sitting. It was a really pleasant experience.

We were looking for a nice spot to eat. As we were staying at Mikisew Provincial Park the hope was to find something in South River or Sundridge. Alas, the closing times did not work out so we made the drive to Magnetawan. The grocery store closes at 6 but the restaurant was open til 8. If you have a large group get there by 7:30. The food was very good. The table had open face beef sandwich, shrimp basket, kids chicken fingers and a pasta dish. All were good. The building is quite beautiful post and beam style. It is loud with connect 4 games going, laughter and a whole lot of chatter. - oh yea that’s what life is all about. They have a pun attached and it was pub night. From the looks of things everyone was having a great time.
