Good food, it's not written but food is Halal as owner eats the same. Do your job and ask as management does change in business. I liked the food, taste good, clean and was quick. They were busy. Ordered mix chicken and beef plater, and had baklava as desert. Mostly take out some seats to eat inside. Added more photos after other trips Vegetarian options: Yes falafel and salads Parking: A few parking spots
Maglicious chicken shawarmas are great! Awesome lunch option to have in town. Go try them out if you haven't already!
For a brand new restaurant, I'd give 5 stars. The people working were kind and told us the food was all fresh and marinated in house. I ordered the chicken on fries and was pleasantly surprised with the portion size, quality and taste. We did wait a good 15 minutes but the fries were as fresh as they could be and good quality. I would agree that the seasoning on the chicken is not typical shawarma seasoning but it is good. The chicken was a tad salty but great flavor was balanced by the other stuff on the plate. I ate every last bite. In the future I'd like to see the inside of the restaurant look a little nicer. Nicer seating, maybe some paint and other branding, and there is a weird smell presumably from the shared building space they use and for the shawarma to reflect more traditional style. Otherwise I'm really happy with my first experience only about a week after they opened! Update: The food is consistent and even better than before. The building has nice branding and places to sit and eat now. It's great. Vegetarian options: They have falafel, fattoush salads and a few other vegetarian options
Very friendly staff. The dessert is amazing!!! I got chicken shawarma and husband got beef shawarma. Very good but fries needed to be reheated. Lil pop in the air fryer for few minutes and they were best fries I've had in a while. Loved my shawarma. And husband loved his shawarma. Definitely will be back.
Edible but nothing like a shawarma from downsouth. The chicken shawarma had a tuna taste and texture to it. Beef shawarma tasted and had ground beef texture. I requested garlic sauce and tzatziki and there was hardly any garlic flavor. It's definitely missing the authentic shawarma taste. The store has a smelly smell but I was hopping that was just new paint smell. At less a 10 minute wait for 2 raps. I was really looking forward to having a good shawarma shop in town
New Mediterranean place opened up here recently and thought I’d give it a try. Very clean place, very friendly service, quick and well priced. All fresh ingredients. The food is AMAZING. Pictured here is a Chicken Shawarma Platter, as good as any I’ve had elsewhere like in Ottawa. For dessert, have some delicious HOMEMADE baklava. No one can make it this good. Worth the visit by itself.
I'm so happy this place came to town! The food is really flavorful and delicious, the staff are incredibly friendly and everything is fresh! I'm excited to go back, it was exactly what I needed after a long day. Vegetarian options: The falafel was very good with the grilled veggies and rice and Went really well dipped in hummus!
Pretty sad shawarma shop. Had the chicken platter 90% rice with a dusting of chopped chicken on top. Had some garlic sauce but tasted nowhere what’d you expect from a typical garlic sauce. Overall it was edible but why be so CHEAP with ingredients if you want to please people and keep them coming back.
I ordered on skip the dishes, I paid $30 for my meal, I got a shawarma poutine with tahini and garlic sauce with extra sauce on the side. Food was good, but cold. When I got my order, the bag had gravy spilt on it, and leaking through the bag, the container was super soggy, to the point where almost every time I grabbed a bite, I pierced the container. This restaurant is essentially like an Osmows but Timmins style. I also found that the meat was cut up super small compared to a lot of shawarma places. It was kinda hard to get a decent bite on my fork cause the chicken kept calling off.
While I did very much enjoy my beef wrap flavor wise, I did not expect to have ground beef from a "Shawarma" restaurant. The very word means turning, or rotisserie meat, so I would expect to get shaved beef and not ground.
