A great site for Heartland fans. They weren't filming the day we visited. I could get up close and peer in at the cafe setting inside. The windows needed a clean, but that's probably hard with security reinforced windows. We had lunch at the Rio Alto across the road. Yummy Mexican place.
Even though we were disappointed, we couldn’t actually eat at the diner. It was fun to see the diner, the frontage of it because we are avid heartland addicts. We actually traveled to High River and drove down the narrow streets, pulling our fifth wheels through town to see the diner and get pictures. It doesn’t take much to amuse the elders.
If you are a Heartland fan this town of High River is a must see. The Maggie's diner is used when the film in Hudson, sadly isn't not open to the public but cool to take photos. Visit the museum up the street for more Heartland info
Was a lot smaller than expected. In the show it seems large. Was hoping they would be filming but they were not. Peeked through the windows and seen the horse they use out front inside.
I grew up watching Heartland so it was a real treat being able to visit the film set! I do wish that the set inside would have running lights so you could see inside a bit better. When I was there, everything was covered in protective plastic. If you're a big fan of the series, it's worth it to check out the set.
