Delicious!! Wonderful service, everyone was so friendly and even though there was a bit of a wait she gave us several options and was very apologetic. It's a popular spot and not large inside so get there early or plan for a bit of a wait. We had to wait less than ten mins Decor inside is wonderful and looks "just like Nan's house"! They apparently won a contest for the "best toutans in Newfoundland" and I can see why!!! The toutans, fish cakes and beans are a must try.
Service was good and timely. Restaurant was cozy and quaint with Newfoundland style music playing overhead. Food ranged between good and okay. •Macaroni noodles were slightly overcooked, the cheese was not tasty and it was extra salty. • Mad Rock Toutons, pancakes and caramel sundae were pretty good. • Partridgeberry cheesecake, handmade was one of their better items but still lacking flavor. The price was on the much higher end. I don't suggest this place for most vegans or those in wheelchair.
Madrock cafe is such a beautiful little local gem. The ladies working there are very friendly, atmosphere is #1 and the service is great! It is Great to do the heritage shoreline trail and stop here after.Food: 4/5
Excellent food! You must stop by this place. I had a French toast and the Mad Rock Touton. They both were delicious. The touton is pan fried and was nice and crispy. I would definitely go back.
A nice place for a light meal after completing the Heritage Walking Path. We had no idea what a touton was until we patronized this establishment. We had the cinnamon touton and chili w/garlic bread. The food was good but did not quite meet the hype of other posters. It’s a very small quaint mom & pop eatery with a venue popular with the locals and visitors alike. Certainly a great way for tourist to experience the local palate and flavors.
Hidden gem, a lil cafe. Call ahead for a picnic lunch and walk to a destination to sit down and enjoy it by the water. You can take your pets for a walk.

Great grub and a charming ambiance awaits you at Mad Rocks Cafe. Take a hike out to the point and then reward yourself with some of their famous toutons! Yum. You can't go wrong.
Good food but I did find it a bit expensive. Still, I will go back. I wish they did not puree tbe salt fish in the fush cakes, dilutes the taste.
Great food and friendly staff. The cafe special is great - 2 fish cakes, baked beans and an award-winning touton.
