The cash only sign on the door says it all. This is the quintessential neighborhood "greasy spoon". It is a no frills bacon and eggs joint, full of local regulars. Service was good and we definitely felt safe as half of the East Hartford police department was there having coffee. Nothing bad to say.

I think these are best home fries I've ever had, the omelets were eggscellent. This is very local diner type that I'm sure many people drive by. Maddie`s was recommended and whenever I am in the area I will stop.

The food here is great, the portions are beyond generous, and the staff is friendly. I've been going here since I was a kid and never had a bad experience.
