Madan CPA seemed promising initially and Allan Madan seemed knowledgeable on our first call. I was happy to have found a firm with significant cross-border experience and planned to use Madan CPA for the next several years for my personal returns. Unfortunately communication with the person assigned to my returns has been poor which was really disappointing. I'm planning to switch to another firm.

I had reached out to Allan Madan for tax advice and assistance on a real estate purchase. He was extremely polite in providing the necessary information. Once I was ready to file the paperwork, Allan had referred me to his colleague Waqar Naqvi to help me process my request with CRA. I had a very good experience working with Waqar as he was very prompt in replying to my queries which also showed his knowledge about his work. I highly recommend working with Waqar and Allan and would most definitely go back to them with any future queries.

DO NOT use this company for any foreign tax filings. I was in touch with Allan regarding a foreign affiliate tax filing T1134 - very simple and straightforward ownership. He told me they do a lot of T1134s so I trusted him. After I paid the retainer he passed it on to another consultant Nick who started working on it 2 weeks later even after multiple reminders. The form he sent me for review had so many mistakes that I had to list them down and send back for correction. A day later he sends the form back with another different set of mistakes. Now these are not mistakes that a CPA should be making. And not just one or two things, each time it was atleast 7 things. Especially when he’s telling me that a second accountant is peer reviewing the form. Long story short there was 2-3 more back and forths of ridiculous mistakes. And not once did Allan step in even though he was copied on the emails. And when I asked for a 50% discount considering I did ALL the work, he reluctantly agreed to 25%. Terrible!! If I didn’t have a finance background we would have been in so much trouble with CRA.

Madan Chartered Accounts were submitting my tax returns for the past three years. Going forward, I will continue to be their customer. Mukarram took care of last returns. Very patient, prompt, no fuss, understanding and helpful.
