This is a unique family run business from which I buy closing gifts for all of my real estate clients, as well as friends and family. The personalized service and wide selection of one-of-kind hand crafted items reminds me of when downtown East Lansing featured many such quality stores. All of them are gone, but, thankfully, Mackerel Sky lives on.

Beautiful gift shop. Always has a gorgeous display in the window. My first choice in the area when I need to buy a gift or card.

Great place to find a nice gift. When I want to find something special for my wife, but I'm not sure exactly what, this is one of the places I go - it's #1 on the list. They are pricey, though. If you consider an investment, it doesn't hurt as bad.
