Excellent pizza, takes me back to my vacation to New York, the pizza is not too oily, it’s got a perfect ratio of ingredients on the pepperoni pizza, it’s a great size and the slices are perfectly cut and sized. AmazingFood: 5/5
If I could give 6 stars for service, I would... needed this after a long day and week. On a rinse and repeat week, we didn't want to head straight home and to bed, just to do it all again on the morrow; so we decided to take a walk to no-where imparticular, we just headed north... we were eventually transported to heaven on the back of a wonderful waft of charred sweetness to our olfactory sense. Enter the Mack Daddy's. A place I was aware of, and had wanted to visit for a really long time, but had never been able to convince my dining partner to venture this way, more on that later... was it fate or happenstance. Perhaps we'd just walked the perfect amount. We were greeted moments after wandering in oblivious to anything around us. The staff were ever so polite, helpful, and had jokes early. They made us feel special, and that in itself is special these days. The ambience was relaxed, had the nostalgic 90s and early 2000s Hip-hop on low enough in the background, that we could have a conversation, read complain about our respective days and just enjoy each others company, after a poorer than average day. There were families, groups of friends and couples dotted about the dining room, so you could tell the staff would be well rehearsed. Back to my point, My partner, as a rule, hates anything with cheese... sacralidge, I know, but she indulges me often enough that I know I'm both pretty lucky yet don't take it for granted... Tonight, I threw the option out, what about PIZZA? ready to be vetoed, but no... it was my night. The favourite part of my night was when she took her first bite of the aptly named The Baller and started dancing in her seat... we found a pizza joint she not only will tolerate but enjoys and wants to go back to. That is a win... We got a couple of pizza's as one is never enough, and variety is allegedly the spice of life. New York style pizza as big as you want it, and as it says on the staff shirts, Size really Matters. Dough- nice and light with chewy crusts-check, Toppings- perfect amount, not too heavy, not too light-check, Cheese- great pull-check. Overall, a win tonight for Mack Daddy's and me. We'll be back. Definitely glad of the walk and big thank you to the team.
Fab & massive pizza. We had combination of 2 different pizzas - Hawaiian and Sausage/Fennel. Very tasty and very filling .... yum! Sweet potato fries were delicious. Music very loud so we found it difficult to hold conversation, but overall, good experience.Recommended dishesSausage and Fennel
Nice place to go with family to try that giant pizza! Good food, nice service... Fun time with your fam or friends. I'd recommend this place for sure.Food: 5/5
Our group was pleased by the quality of the pizzas and ambience. We did pre-order for the 28” pizza in my booking which was overlooked. However, their service was not too slow and Alex was very helpful and attentive to our needs. She was able to set up a tab for our table. Entrees a bit on the smaller side. Overall a pleasant experience, especially in a group setting. Kid-friendliness: Every kid loves pizza!
So disappointed years ago this was our spot! The pizza was SO GOOD. We tried it again after about a year and unfortunately the new owners really need to step up their game because the pizza is shocking now.. they used to be loaded with toppings, hot fresh and full of flavour. The pepperoni now has barely 2 slices of pepperoni per slice, living on the veg is GONE and the all eyes on cheese which used to be Honky is basically cheese and dough. It used to be worth the money but not anymore. So sad to see what I used to think was the best pizza place in perth go down the toilet :/ second pic is the pizza from 2017
We loved the pizza! And couldn't help ourselves as the variety of sides available were amazing. We had the mozerella cheese sticks, loaded potato skins and coleslaw Cheese sticks were perfect. Stretchy cheese and easy batter fried to perfection, topped with a lovely tomato dip. Loaded potato skins was generous with the bacon and crisp skin with sour cream and spring onions Thought that the coleslaw was a bit too heavy on the onions. But the dressing was perfect. Wasn't too much Mayo that made you feel uneasy. Lovely pizza - hot, made to order, thin crust, and generous toppings! What more can you possibly ask for. We will definitely be back :
Awesome pizza, though on the pricey side. Good thing it feed the 4 of us.Food: 5/5
Not that keen I'm afraid. The service was via the QR code on the table which is a pain in the proverbial so no service. The pizza tasted nice but was really greasy. The restaurant specialises in huge pizzas which are floppy and difficult to eat. There was no Chardonnay on the wine list.Food: 3/5
Tonight, my dining partner and I went to Mack Daddy's New York Slice 560 Beaufort St, Mount Lawley. I always wanted to visit Mack Daddy's, but their old venue was tiny and always packed. Early last year, they moved into their current residence, a few doors up Beaufort Street, and it's far bigger. Now featuring a full bar, funky decor and a spacious dining room, Mack Daddy's has a great NY theme and thumping hip hop tunes. We had a friendly welcome and shown to our table. We found they had a $40 couples special, featuring a 16 inch pizza, a side and two drinks of your choice. We ordered the Garlic Pizza Bread and Big Poppas for entree, and Big Cheese Pizza Mozzarella, Romano, Blue Cheese and Bocconcini on tomato sauce base. For drinks, we had the chocolate milkshake and house Red wine. The Poppas were amazing, chock full of Monterey Jack cheese in big fat Jalapeños. Man they were hot! The garlic pizza bread was fascinating; it's similar to the garlic twist you get at Bakers Delight, but with way more garlic and comes with Olive Oil and Balsamic as a dipping sauce. Now, onto the pizza. We had the 16 inch, which is the smaller of the two sizes the other is a massive 22 inches. The base immediately gave away that it isn't wood fired; even though the cooking of the base and crust was completely even, it still had a good taste given the thin NY style base. The cheese slices were a bit hit and miss - I love the blue cheese, so I had to really hunt for it, but that's how a three or four cheese pizza works. Having stayed in Brooklyn and walked from pizza joint to pizza joint, I can say with some authority that Mack Daddy's would fit right in. Thanks for a nice evening with great service and good NY style pizza.
