The new "IN" food of this century is a dish from South America called Ceviche. South America's best secret is becoming a very popular appetizer and continues to gain recognition as time goes on.

Our Ceviches have became most popular over the last few years at our Kerr Street location "El Gran Tropical" which is mainly a non-perishable South and Central America food and beverage store. Customers from all over South Western Ontario have come to try our Ceviche raving over and over again.

All our Ceviches are cured in lime juice, Peruvian peppers and marinated with spices and cilantro, exquisitely served with Peruvian corn, toasted corn, fresh finely sliced onions, banana chips and sweet potato.

It's the first time I have tried this restaurant. I decided to come after reading the reviews. When I called to make the reservation I was advised that at 7pm there was going to be a big party and there could be delays. The decoration, tables and chairs are in the low ~ medium side. The service was average trending to low, maybe because of the big party that was having place at the time I was there. The food was very good. As the time was passing, more people joined the party about 40 and the noise level increased so much that was really difficult to listen anything. I will give it another try and provide an update based on the experience. Hopefully there is not going to be another big party.
Mediocre food. There are several options of Peruvian food around much much better; Shame on me for ordering here. Portions where brief and overpriced. I paid almost $90 for 2 plates and an appetizer that barely feed 1. I ate in this restaurant years ago. I gave it a second try hoping If I was just unlucky the 1st time… noup I was not, this is just a very mediocre restaurant. You are better off googling the recipes and cook it yourself; for sure the portions would be richer….. Don’t waste your time, do not eat here. If you like it, you probably have not had good Peruvian food. Please explore!
I don't know why this restaurant has good reviews. Two days ago I ordered lomo saltado to see if they can make something as easy as this dish and then order more food another day. They gave me more fries than meat, they literally gave me 6 pieces of meat and not well done, the fries were very sticky and the rice had a strange smell, you could tell it wasn't fresh. A waste of time and money. I find it very unfortunate, I thought I no longer had to go all the way to Toronto to get good Peruvian food. I hope they get another cook.
Really nice Peruvian restaurant in Oakville. I loved my tacu tacu with lomo. The meat was so tender and flavourful and I will most definitely be returning soon to order it again. My mom also loved her ceviche!Recommended dishesLomito Saltado, Ceviche Mixto, Beef Heart
Hands down just amazing food! So flavorful. First time I went in but I have been driving past for years and now regret not going sooner! I ordered all different items and everything was honestly perfect. Literally thought I was sitting in Machu Picchu, Peru . A must try! The staff was also very friendly and talkative seems like a wonderful family working together, and the food was made with love
I celebrated my birthday at Machu Picchu restaurant last weekend. The food is always amazing, the restaurant is very clean and they had a DJ! The owners are very friendly and we always have a great experience! All my friends that attended complimented the food and great service! Definitely a 5 star restaurant! I have been waiting to come and taste the tasteful,exquisite and delightful Peruvian dishes from Machu Pichu. I loved el lomo saltado, Jalea Mixta , ceviche mixto and the delicious cheesecake de Maracuya.
This was our first time trying Peruvian food and it was all delicious. We tried a variety of different salsas with our dishes and they were all flavourful. The seafood casserole with fish was prepared in a tasty red sauce- perfectly spiced. The ceviche mixto was the exact combination of fresh and tangy. We also tried the beef heart kabobs and they tasted amazing. Will definitely go back!
Authentic Peruvian food , in my books by far THE BEST Peruvian restaurant. Do not bother going anywhere else, THIS IS IT. The food has great portions, great taste ! And to top it all on Friday’s and Saturday there’s live shows which it’s really inviting and fun. And love the Pollo a la brasa , just the same as Peru. They also have great selections of trays for big groups. If you ever have a family event and don’t feel like cooking , Mr Roberto has always accommodate me last minute, he will deliver the best meal for your group. Just great ! MUST try
