Food is quick and before noon is nice and quiet being really easy to get a seat, order, enjoy the environment while chatting and eating good food. Chicken sandwich is basic but done right having fries that taste so good especially when added into the sandwich, the BLT is a wee bit small so get that with a side dish, and the double burger is a honking piece you'll feel in the gut for hours to come being full of flavour and just amazing ingredients.
Quiet for lunch but we had the fish haddock special and chicken crunch sandwich. A bit too hot for the patio. Service was alright. Not really any dessert offerings. Food was good but I preferred the frozen fries over the fresh cut.
One plus point is that the waiters are very friendly. But the Ambiente is not nice and the furniture is outdated. It is not very clean. The toilets are a disaster. The food was not great. The pizza was not good and the scallops doesn’t seem fresh. They were breaded and deep fried.
Reviewing now for a visit a few years ago. Just remembered how bad the service sucked at this place and it was the worst place iv been to in recent memory. 2 hours sitting waiting on food an hour before we had a glass of water on the table. From Watch I remember there was issues with all of our orders. Mine club was average. It was in the summer but still this is ridiculous. I’m reading recent reviews and it seems like these issues are still a thing. Just avoid this place. The waitress wouldn’t do anything for our bill and claimed she callers the owner that don’t us to stop complaining and to pay full price
While staying at the incredible Yellownose House in nearby Walkerville, we decided to take a break from relaxing and explore the surrounding communities and villages. After touring the quaint Isle Madame, we found ourselves in the well kept core of St. Peters, NS. Having driven through this community a few days before, we noticed a few restaurants that might have promise and decided to take a break from cooking and sample some local cuisine. If you are looking for something more than the standard fare, I suggest you keep looking. There is nothing offered here over and above the standard diner/restaurant/pub fare. Hamburgers, fish and chips, hot turkey dinners... you know what I am talking about. They do, however, also have a pizzeria also which provides some variety. The decor was ok. I go into places like this and feel there is so much that could be done to improve the feel and experience that then translates into satisfaction, reputation and return customers. However, the place was full when we visited. So perhaps this is not a concern for the owners. As we visited during the Corona virus pandemic, all protocols were being respected. Fewer tables, masks, hand sanitizer... we felt all the proper precautions were being taken. We would have loved to sit outside on their terrace but it was just a little too cold. I was surprised with the speed of service. Expect to wait a looooong time for your meal. Despite having half the tables, I suspect they did not have near enough cook staff on. The wait staff had the added duty of disinfecting but this shouldn't have affected customer service. It took a long time to receive menus, a long time to place the order, a long time to receive drinks. We arrived before 6:00pm and it was well after 7:00 before our meals were served. It was nice to see they did offer a couple of local craft beers. The food itself was good. When asked about the size of the salad appetizer, the server said it was rather small. So we ordered two. However, one would have been perfect for sharing. We both had fish and chips with home cut fries. Being this close to the sea, I always hope for fresh fish. While batter was a little overcooked, the fish itself tasted fresh. All in all, an ok meal but I'll try elsewhere to see if there are better offerings in this area before returning.
When the Plate is hot you know it was microwaved. Would have said something but the music was too loud to talk, came hungry, left with a headache.Food: 1/5
I had their fish and scallop special. For a place by the water, I was expecting fresh and big scallops. I got tiny fried Scallops in batter that you'd buy in groceries. Disappointing. Staff was friendly.Parking optionsFree parking lot, Free street parking
Visited this place many times over the years for a quick bite and hit up a jam session or two. Food is great and with a good menu of pub food..ask for the supreme fries and you cant go wrong. ATM available inside also Debit.Food: 4/5
live music on certain days Food is really good for a little llocal restaurant Especially Fish meals. They have good portion sizes and accommodate menu for certain needs I like this place because the sevice exceeds the decor.
We have been coming here for years and always return. The staff is always friendly and the food is great. You can’t beat their hot hamburger!
