Great campground, ice cold beer, friendly people, nice little bar, live music, and awesome fishing..... what else does a human need ????
I really enjoyed going to Macs in previous years. But this year we called on a Tuesday before memorial weekend and we're told it was first come first serve for camping spots. We called again Wednesday evening to make sure that we could check in early Thursday morning and we were told they no longer had camping for people other than seasonal. That pretty much blew our whole weekend camping it would have been nice if they would have made their mind up sooner than 2 days before the weekend. Very disappointed!
We camped one night. They have live music Friday and Saturday's. Great band last night. Service was great. The wait staff did a great job keeping up with the crowd. The bar also has food, sandwiches and appetizers. Good campground for fishing. Quiet time is midnight to 7 am. This campground has lots of fun people. Their is a volleyball court and a swing and Merry go round. More of an adult campground.
Mac's is a fun place in the country to swing in and have a burger, beer, or both. It's a great campground along the Zumbro River below a power dam. There's fun fishing with large fish like huge musky below the damage. Great place during the nicer months in Minnesota.

Fun place, but more high energy than I'm used to for camping
Well run and organized camp ground in my opinion. They attract a good crowd and promote a lively atmosphere. I've only been there one weekend but thought so highly of it I'll be going back. Very reasonable pricing too imho.
