Superb lunch today at a Mac's, a new seafood restaurant for Chatham, MA, just open one month Mac's has other locations on Cape Cod. The winter oysters and clams always seem to me to be fatter and juicier. These were exquisite, just heavenly!! The house mignonette sauce was delicious. The fish and chips looked very ordinary when they arrived at the table. But the fish was superb, fresh, never frozen. The coleslaw, like a great salad, speaks volumes about the quality of a restaurant. This coleslaw was perfect. I also brought a bowl of their Bermuda fish chowder to take home. Really great seafood.
Long story short, it's a good place to try some seafood. Food: We ordered Clam Chowder, Fish n chips, Fried Calamari, and a hot dog for the kid. Clam Chowder: unfortunately for us, it wasn't the best we have had thus far. It was runny, had just 1 clam in it, and to make matters worst, I bit a stone in the gravy. I am generously giving it 3 outta 10. Fish n Chips: Friend Cod was good, and the fries were alright. 9/10. Fried Calamari : It was good but nothing great to write home about. I've had better ones here on LI, NY locally. Generously 7/10. Hot Dog: It was good. 9/10. Service: It was packed when we arrived and there was a queue. We decided to order to go, and placed the order with 15% tip over the bill. Fortunately, by the time the food was ready, there were some spots open and when requested, they arranged a table for 2 and also got a high chair, which was much appreciated. We unpacked the food and realized there were no cutlery. I went to get them and I was provided willingly. Had to go get water for us, which was no biggie, but considering the fact that I had tipped them already, it would've been a great experience to provide water to customers dining at the table. Still, generously 9/10. Atmosphere: Mac's is a nice place and I would definitely give it 9/10. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs that they willingly provide.
Enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Little lean on the crab. Probably wouldn’t order again. For the price it should come with a side of something. I can say the staff was top notch. We’ll be back to try other dishes. 5 stars your totally blown away and would order again , 4 stars is fantastic. This sandwich is just a 3.
A popular spot and seemingly with good reason. Service was friendly and efficient. Lots of comfortable outside seating. And we thoroughly enjoyed a hot lobster roll and fish and chips!
It’s been great to see this place grow + expand since they started their gluten free fried seafood! I try to come here every time i visit for the clam strips. Love the expanded menu! I’m gluten free + dairy free and ate like a queen. Two of us split 4 oysters + the fisherman’s platter
It was ok. Nothing really to brag about. Chowder was good. I felt the lobster roll was a little bland from what I have had in the past from other shacks. Friends basically said if I'm in that neck of the woods it's a "must" to stop in. I will say that the staff is phenomenal and very polite. Extra friendly without it being fake.
Stop what you’re doing and read this review. I am a sushi connoisseur. I have had sushi everywhere. Nothing like this. This sushi was the BEST and freshest I have ever eaten. Even beats NYC!!! The food came out in literally 5minutes. The waitress dirty blonde and wearing lemon earrings was super attentive, very good at recommending dishes and drinks. The vibe here was great. Everything about this place was amazing. I can’t wait to visit Massachusetts again just to come back here. Well done.
Pretty good place for seafood or dinner in Cape Cod. Seemed overpriced for a “take-out” and seat yourself style. Lobster was good quality but again very pricey. Beet poke bowl was delicious, hand roll was good too. Service was relatively quick, and staff were very friendly
Had the fried clam strips with cole slaw and fries. Was ok but didn't love it. The clam strips are so thin that you mostly just taste breading. I wouldn't order again.
Splurged on a nice lunch while in town and did not regret! The dozen oysters were all plump and juicy, perfectly shucked and served. Also enjoyed the Poke bowl which had a generous amount of salmon.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
