"Hickory Street is proud to serve locally-sourced, made-from-scratch food out of Lethbridge, Alberta. We are a traditional Southern smokehouse. While we're best known for our killer beef brisket, we've been told our pulled pork and mac 'n' cheese is amazing as well. We serve lunch, dinner, and desserts. This is a family-run business, so frequently you'll see one or both of us Devynn & Brian in the restaurant, and likely at least one of our 3 kids at any given time along with our amazing staff."

Popped into Hickory Streets new location in Lethbridge this evening with my notoriously picky daughter. We loved every bite! The brisket was incredibly tasty, and wonderfully paired with a delicious sauce. My daughter had the ribs and picked every last morsel off the bones. We finished off by splitting a very nice caramel bacon brownie. Thanks so much for the lovely meal!
I had the best ribs ever at the place. When I visited the place, I ordered some ribs, baked beans, and armadillo eggs. My girlfriend ordered some brisket and baked potatoes. They were so good. The restaurant doesn't sell alcohol, though, so that's something to take note of. I got a non-alcoholic Budweiser. I'd recommend this spot for good ribs or smoked meat. Kid-friendliness: It's a safe and friendly environment to bring kids Parking: It has a few parking spots and parking is free; although, because it's a small restaurant in a small town, there isn't much room for parking Wheelchair accessibility: Getting into the restaurant won't be difficult for someone who requires accessibility accommodations.
SO GOOD!!! Great prices, absolutely delicious food and fantastic experience with the owner! My son said it’s the best burger he’s ever had. We will definitely be back Also, I don’t know how you make coleslaw the star of the show - but it may have been my favourite part!
Spent the whole day raking and bagging leaves. Can think of nothing better as a reward after a hard days work than some amazing brisket! I had the Brisket sandwich as a salad and it was mind blowing. I honestly ate it too fast to take a picture so here’s a picture of the restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Can’t say enough good things about the food here.
So excited about the move to Lethbridge. Grabbed the Southern Sampler.... so good! Can't wait to see how they grow in a new location.Food: 5/5
You have an excellent reason to stop in small town Alberta. This restaurant is a gem. The atmosphere is like a Texas BBQ diner only nicer. My wife and I stopped for lunch and had the pulled pork on a bun with mac and cheese and a side of homemade slaw, outstanding. The waitress was super friendly and the prices are too good to be true. It reminded me of "Diners drive ins and dives". Guy Ferreti would be over the moon.
Absolutely delicious food and friendly service. We ate in at the Swirls location in Lethbridge, and we cannot wait for them to have a bigger location in Lethbridge!!! The Chicken bacon ranch sandwiches were delicious, as were the potato salads and pulled pork nachos. 4 of us ate 2 sandwiches and a pulled pork nachos between us, and we are all perfectly full and happy!! We've also gotten the feed trough for a birthday, and we regularly get Armadillo.eggs from the food truck, and it's always incredible. Never a bad meal from Hickory Street!! Kid-friendliness: My hard to please daughter was VERY happy with the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich!!
First time we placed an order for pickup in striling for a certain time, we show up a few minutes early and have to wait over 30 minutes after our scheduled pick up time for our food to be ready. Food was good but nothing to rave about. We decided to try again at the new location downtown. Placed an order for pick up for a birthday dinner to get home and realize they did not give us all of our food. We had to drive back to pick it up meanwhile a hungry crown awiting dinner. We walk in to the restaurant and the owner admits she noticed they didn’t give us everything but didn’t bother to call which was very disappointing. The young man at the front says ‘knowing her she’ll throw in something to make up for the mistake’ she did not, not even so much as an apology for the mix up or a thank you for our business. Again food was good, nothing overwhelming but portion sizes were odd. A salad and cake enough for 12 people but only 4 pieces of corn bread and a taste of beans. We will not be returning nor recommending.
The food was really good! I enjoyed it with a friend, interior was cute. My only complaint was an unnecessary comment made by the person checking us out, we had ordered two platters, brisket and a sampler, perfect for two people, and a little dessert for the end. However I suppose it warranted a comment from this person saying "Wow, thats a lot of food". I understand that the comment may not have come from a place of hate, however this comment was still out of pocket, my friend will no longer be coming in to the restaurant but will continue to order delivery. cool rubiks cube tho
Terribly overpriced, dry, uninspired, shall I continue? Most time it's so old and barky that they should throw in a free water bottle, or else it's lukewarm from not being hot held. Posted is a menu from a place in Fairmont, one of the most expensive tourist spots. These prices are more reasonable. *Edit* most of the good reviews are friends and family.
