Lyman Run State Park

Nice trail system that isn't too rocky. You can get a decent speed in most places. There is a park bathroom/hole in the middle of the trails. We enjoyed the tree cover and the handful of areas set aside for spinning out.

Lyman Run is a lovely 595 acre state park that along with a 45 acre lake create a beautiful setting for outdoor activities. The lake has a boat ramp and a swimming area. There are two camping areas located within the park that have nice restroom and shower facilities available. There are several hiking trails within the park and the Susquehannock Trail System passes just west of the park within easy walking distance. There are also ATV and snowmobile trails in and around the park. There is a concession stand at the bathing beach and there are boat and kayak rentals available.

Beautiful, peaceful, quiet campground. Electric sites and showers are available here for those who don't want to camp on the big hill at Cherry Springs which has very few flat sites for tents. There is no cell service anywhere in Lyman Run but if you take the road south about 2 miles there's a gravel pull off at the intersection that will give you good 4G LTE Service. Can't go wrong with either the Dagett or Lower Loop sections, I've camped at both. Showers are a little stupid, though, giving you about 15 seconds of water and you have to keep hitting the button. At least they have showers, but it's still pretty stupid. The automatic sinks are pretty annoying to use also. But again, better than nothing. The campsites at both loops at Lyman are very clear, covered in gravel, and level for tents at most sites. Restrooms: Showers, automatic sinks

Lyman Run State Park is in my top 5 favorite parks in the U.S.A. ... It has something for everyone! Wildlife Watching, Steam/Lake/Ice Fishing, Camping, Hiking, Swimming, Boating, Atving, Snowmobiling, a Playground, Picnic Areas, and Pavilions. Did I mention free parking? What a great park! The facilities are very nice with men's, women's, and a single user bathroom accommodations and outdoor showers, by the swimming area. I'd like to give a shout out to Tammy at the concession stand She was able to answer all of our questions and was very accommodating when it came to Ice cream and boat rentals! The perfect afternoon out for anyone. We made it a lunch date, for $39.50 we rented 2 kayaks for an hour $20, grabbed hamburgers and sodas for 2 $10, and don't forget the ice creams 2 XL for $9.50... If your bringing your furry friends know that they are not permitted on the sandy part of the beach or in the designated swim area, they will have to swim down by the boat rental shack... If your in the area and looking for something to do, I highly recommend Lyman Run Sate Park ...

We were driving from the PA OH line to Wellsboro and were ahead of schedule, so we decided to look for things not too far off route to see. This came up so we gave it a shot amd were no disappointed. There was a clean yet natural feel. Parking was ample. Itblooked like a swim beach or other water activity center was there but closed for the season. The was relaxing and was just beginning to pop of color. It was a great stop to make for a good stretch and brief walk on a long drive.

Excellent place to experience a truly dark sky. In the summer months head over to Lyman Run lake to see the Milky way galaxy with the naked eye. This is also a great place to go camping for the night or week.

Beautiful park! Very well maintained. Plenty of locals to get fire wood from. A fantastic spot for stargazing or just getting away from the stress of the everyday hustle.

Beautiful park..the hike was a little difficult bring good footwear and proper clothes for the weather I suggest a walking stick too..you can fish and boat just need your license and permits..easy to obtain..there's clean restrooms..enjoy the hike..if your thinking of taking your mountain bike..don't the terrain is very narrow and too much in the way to ride ..enjoy the hike and don't forget your beverage..we will be back soon..really enjoyed it... Restrooms: Very clean for a public place. Dog-friendliness: Bring your leash.. Picnic area: Nice little picnic area..with a charcoal grill

A great park for kids and offers some beautiful vistas. Some campgrounds are nearby. The lake offers plenty of things to do like, boating, fishing and in the winter ice skating. Not much else to do in the park, other larger parks are located nearby.

Amazing lake and dam. Hikes are also very nice. Overall a good facility to spend a fun day
