The Controller's position is elected by the voters of Lycoming County every 4 years and is meant to be an independent "watchdog" over County finances.
The mission statement of the Lycoming County Controller's Office is "to independently support and enforce the Commissioners’ fiscal policies, prevent IRS findings, and ensure proper compliance with County Code guidelines."
The Controller's Office is responsible for auditing the departments of the county, oversight of the accounts payable process, contract management and the supervision and administration of the day to day operations of the County's retirement plan.
The Controller is a member of the Salary Board, the Retirement Board and the Prison Board. Mrs. Rogers is also an active member of the South Williamsport Lions Club and sustaining member of the Junior League of Williamsport.
