Luzerne County Head Start, Inc., founded in 1965 is a preschool education program dedicated to enriching the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from birth to age five. The program offers comprehensive health, nutritional, and other support services to children and parents in order to help families reach self-sufficiency. Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides services in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. This agency recognizes the importance of implementing a two-generational learning program that equally engages children and families.
