We provide prescriptions for eye wear and also dispense glasses as well as all types of contact lenses.

Story

Founded By Louis Lunsky in 1933, Louis offered people in the College St. and Bathurst St. area of downtown Toronto comprehensive eye examinations and glasses. He was joined by his son Marvin Lunsky who continued the family practice.Twenty-five years later Marvin's son Eric joined the practice and the two remain there to this day.

The overall experience was extremely poor. As many others have already commented the mannerisms of Dr. Lunsky leaves a lot to be desired. They took many months to order my glasses, and even when they arrived the prescription was wrong. The most appalling part of the whole process however was the service of the assistant/receptionist. She was extremely defensive and rude, always insisting I was wrong, even when evidence was available to prove otherwise. During my last interaction in store she even locked me inside, forcing me to wait while they berated me until I was eventually let go. No individual should ever have to experience this poor level of service, they treat patients like dollar signs, please choose one of the numerous other options in the city for your eye care
With the glasses he prescribed, I cannot see anything! Even though it took him two months to get my glasses ready but what is the point? I cannot see. He told me it will take time for my eyes to adjust! Can you believe this? Don’t waste your time and money. Go somewhere else!
Sent two emails from their website trying to book an appointment. They finally replied about a month later with one sentence, "We're accepting new patients". I wouldn't trust my eyes to a group that can't handle basic email correspondence...
Excellent customer service. Quality eye care and informative. I highly recommend you visit this location. The family has been in business last 100 years.
The doctors here are thorough, knowledgeable and clearly explain your individual problems. The staff is exceptional. They have decades of experience as opticians, therefore every question you ask about glasses will be answered clearly without the need to research or ask someone else the answer. Not only do you get superior medical care, you'll enjoy selecting new glasses with the staff. Go there and tell your friends and family!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Lunsky since I was 6 and I am 51 now. The fact the doc still has my index card files back to then speaks to the consistency, nay, persist-ency of his service. Very informative & no holds barred advice.
Dr Lunsky don't know if it was senior or junior, because he never introduced himself does not have a pleasant 'bedside manner' and seems to wish he could practice optometry without actually dealing with any patients. They lost my file after my initial eye examination, so when I came back in they had no record of what my prescription or history was.
I have been a patient of Dr. Lunsky for 38 years. That speaks for itself. Both doctors and receptionist are friendly and professional. Always feel at home there.
Unprofessional not following standard of practice and most instruments are over 60 years old so no patient may get FULL benefit
Went as a walk-in today and both doctors were friendly and took the time to explain everything. I was very pleased.
