I ordered the fish tacos and duck fat French fries. I really enjoyed the fries as I’ve never had them fried in duck fat before. The fish tacos were good although each taco had a small cube of fish as you may see in the picture. Small might be a generous word to describe it. Service was great and my family of five really liked our visit to Luna. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was outstanding! I think it was Crystal but not sure. She really took care of us. Overall visit was a 4 out of 5 which I feel my review is based on my itty bitty fishie tacos. The pineapple salsa needed some kick but then I’m from New Mexico so maybe it was fine for people back east
Nico our server/bartender was so accommodating..friendly and just amazing. We started with chips and salsa and Arancini. Then got the Bulgogi tacos, street corn and cesear salad. The salad wasn't anything to write home about. Shrimp in it was good. But the rest was eh. Enjoyed our time here.
I’ve been here before and the place is good I had there food with my friend around 10PM but I went there again and they asked for ID and told us we needed to be over 21. Apparently if you want to dine in after 9PM you have to be 21 and have an ID. They should say this somewhere because it makes no sense that I had to come here and not be able to eat here. I gave them a second chance and I was able to go inside and eat. The food was terrible though. My appetizer tasted the best but had a piece of plastic. The chips were salted to the point that you can feel the salt on your fingers. Just for picking it up. The chips were also grouped up and you couldn’t separate them. The tacos were not that good and they had forgotten to give us our drinks until we asked again. The rice and beans were mid but I wouldn’t eat.
I had an overall negative experience with both the food and service at this Luna. My party had ordered several appetizers and entrees while we dined in. I ordered chicken tenders which were extremely bland and poor texture. Probably the worst chicken tenders I've ever had. I had to let my partner try it to make sure I wasn't being too critical. In addition, the french fries I ordered were awful. I'm pretty sure every piece was the butt-end of the potato where it's all skin and basically no potato. My partner had ordered tacos which, again, were very bland. We ordered chicken wings for about $13 and were astounded to find five skinny chicken wings on our plate; they were not very good either. Then, when our waiter asked if we'd be having dessert and we declined, they almost seemed to rush us out by bringing the check. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. All in all, because of the quality and service, I would not recommend this Luna to anyone.
Place is trying to do too much. Pizza Tacos Burgers Asian Mexican American Our food wasnt bad just eh Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options available
This was my first time eating at Luna and it was during the global pandemic, so my experience was including their social distancing and safety measures. Ordering on the iPad was a breeze. My partner and I ordered a taco special with the mezcal chicken tacos and the bulgogi tacos, wings, and Mexican poutine. The tacos came under-salted. The seasoning otherwise was fine, and the bulgogi was delicious, but the chicken and the fried egg and guac needed salt. After we asked for salt, all of the flavors came together beautifully with just a pinch. Yum! The tajin Mexican poutine was a fun twist on poutine, but I wish the “curds” were a bit chunkier, and the gravy element was missing a bit, but the salsa was a fun replacement. Also I think it was meant to cotija cheese, but we got feta. Either way, still innovative so that deserves 4 stars in my book. Definitely more tangy than comfort-y. Wings were great! We got boneless Buffalo. Perfect crunch and sauce!
I ordered chicken shawarma salad as a takeout and it was missing feta, olives, and rice. I think it was also missing lemon oil, greek vinaigrette and smoked tahini, but not sure. Very disappointed since that my go to order when dining in.
I went here once and ordered the Bao buns - I got a single soggy bun with a fingernail sized piece of pork for 12 dollars. Besides the garbage food, LUNA IS EVIL! They have opened a million ghost kitchens on GrubHub to push out local businesses who actually have good food. Please don't order from these jerks. Some of their ghost kitchens as of early 2023: Bao Boi, Wrapped, Birdland Hot Chicken, Nacho Mamas, Pass the Pasta, Gyro King, Sol Cucina, Mac Shack, Ithaca Ghost Kitchen, La Quesadilla, and Munchies. These are all just Luna's under different names - please don't order from any of them and instead support local businesses that aren't evil.
Ordered the "mixed grill Mediterranean platter" from their ghost kitchen Luna have dozens of ghost kitchens on delivery apps, Gyro King. Overpriced, mediocre, and small portion. Not recommended.
Three friends and I went to Luna's last night around 7pm. The menu looked nice and we hadn't tried the new location yet. Ordered homemade lemonades which were tasty and came out in around 15min. At about this time, a larger party of about 8 people was seated next to us. We waited a while, and perhaps around 7:30 our one appetizer came out. Then, at about 8pm, many of the entrees for the large nearby party arrived. Soon after, two of our entrees arrived. Both single bao buns, which we had rather expected to include multiple bao buns given the price > $6. We waited and waited. 8:20ish the third entree arrives, and after much pleading with the waiters, we received our final entree at 8:45. 1 hour and 45 minutes to make a bowl of bulgogi. At this point, the table with the large party had already finished all of their meals. We had arrived BEFORE them and had fewer dishes. I truly don't understand why a restaurant would operate like this. The wait staff and the lemonades were lovely, but those were the only positive aspects of this experience. I understand that almost every table was full last night, but it's in Luna's best interest to serve customers in a timely and reasonable fashion. In addition, prices are quite high given the quality/quantity of food. I won't be returning anytime soon.
