We have a great time at Lumes every time we visit Chicago! The staff here are so nice and welcoming! And the food here is so delicious!Food: 5/5
My first time eating here.. they very welcoming and friendly I walked in the door and got greeted with a smile. They helped me with my order and I didn’t have to wait long.. everything was exactly how I want it.. I will definitely be back.. they give you a lot of food this breakfast was only 13.00

Best French toast I have had in a long time! We made a comment about how much food they give you and the waitress says "that's because we know how to feed ya." Was she ever right! Amazing portions to fill up your tummy and more!! We came back 2 more times during our vacation and the creamy chicken and shell soup can't quite remember the name was amazing!
Waitress was very nice and patient. Unfortunately, food was not the best. Requested crispy bacon and it was completely burnt. Canned pineapple and cherries on Mickey Mouse pancakes was just a little unusual. Biscuits and gravy were nothing to write home about. Also, way too expensive. Kids meals come with white milk but not chocolate milk. Waitress confirmed if that was ok and we assumed if they were going to charge $3.50 each, it would be much larger than the dinky little cups they came out with. Then when we went to pay, bill was initially $48 but for some reason my receipt says $54, even though we tipped the waitress in cash. Just not a good experience and will not be back.
There were 7 of us for our monthly family breakfast. They let us visit with each other, and there was no pressure. The food was excellent.Food: 5/5
Came with a group of 40 on short notice. Got seated, got food, got out in 70 minutes. Amazing speed, good, portions, tasted great
I visited this restaurant for the first time today and was quite impressed. The interior is beautiful and good seating for 1 diner to a larger group. I ordered cream cheese filled French toast, all I can say is "You have to try it!" My mom had a sandwich, which came in an abundant amount as seen in my photos. The staff are very friendly, everything is clean, bathroom is nice and modern. Keep it up and thank you!
Just left here.....Horrible customer service from the hostess. She was very rude on the phone and then when i told management when i picked up my food, their response was she's been here since 5am all the while the employee is rolling her eyes at me. Wonderful food but lost a customer here. You can't make excuses for rude employees especially in customer service. Just unbelievable
Wife and daughter went to eat here. There was miscommunication as the waitress badgered my wife into ordering more food for my daughter, who only wanted fries. Waitress assumed my wife still wanted pancakes, which is an honest mistake. When the server brought out syrup was when the mistake became apparent. Manager got involved, my wife told them to cancel the order, and they demanded she pay, since she ordered the food. A: she did not. B: she had no intention of eating it after being badgered and then harangued into paying for food she no longer wanted. She told them she would for sure pay for the drinks, but was still having the manager demand she pay. Having worked in restaurants for 25 years, this is unacceptable. For the cost of an order of pancakes and chicken nuggets, they have lost customers-my family and anyone who will listen to me. Again, as a restaurant employee for 25 years, folks in my life tend to take my advice on restaurants. Don't even know how to rate the food as none was eaten and she didn't care to bring it home. Not great, reheating fries or pancakes.
