Lume had genuinely tasty food! The vibe is comfortably chic, with a bright dining room and a lovely patio. The service felt attentive and genuinely kind without being overdone.nnWe tried the slow-braised lamb shank - it was tender, but a touch under-seasoned. My lobster ravioli, on the other hand, was a standout: you could taste the lobster, and it genuinely delivered. The only small thing was that the music was a little loud for quiet conversation. Despite that, we enjoyednit and we’ll happily keep coming back.
Had lunch with friends last week and they already wanted to come back again! We started with the fried calamari, mango salad, and dumplings—calamari was a standout, crispy and gone in minutes. The mango salad was crunchy and a bit sour, probably due to the season but it does open up the appetite and the dumplings were yummy. For mains, we had the curry and spicy Malay fried noodles—both flavorful, and I loved the noodle texture. The pancakes were a great value and paired perfectly with the curry. We also had some refreshing mango drinks and tried several cakes for dessert—my favorite was the dark forest cake, thanks to its light, spongy texture!
My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable experience celebrating her birthday at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food. It’s now one of our favorite spots, and we’ll definitely be back and recommending it to our family and friends.nnA huge thank you to Nicole for her amazing help with planning the event. She made everything seamless and enjoyable, even with all the coordination involved. We truly appreciate her dedication and the effort she put into making the celebration perfect.nnAlso, a big shoutout to our servers, Ana and Karina! Ana, in particular, was so friendly and warm, and both she and Karina were incredibly attentive, making our experience even more memorable. They really went above and beyond to add a special touch to the celebration.nnHighly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!
I went to Lume for the first time for a bridal shower. The brunch was outstanding. The avocado toast was so flavourful and the eggs on top were poached perfectly. The charcuterie board was beautifully presented. The mixed green salad had a delicious dressing. The flank steak was perfectly cooked, warm and tender. The potatoes had a nice spicy kick to them and they were crunchy. The bacon was nice and crispy. The French toast…omg, with fresh whipped cream and berries… crazy delicious. The cappuccino was hot and not too milky. This restaurant has a very modern, downtown, hip vibe. The only complaint I have is that I had dessert on my plate, left for the washroom and when I came back the server had taken it away. I like that they are quick and efficient but always ask before clearing the table.
I've been to Lume several times now, and they never disappoint.nTheir food is absolutely fantastic and their food prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend going for brunch. Their French Toast might be the best I've ever had!nTheir drinks are also top-notch here. They have lots of options, from classics to modern.nIf you're in the area, this might be one of the best spots for you to try out.
