Having experienced the hustle bustle of urban city life the two brothers had become accustomed to eating unhealthy fast food from street vendors and fast food shops. Never had the time, or the energy to search for a great, healthy option when it was time for food. Fed up of having to put up with low quality fast food, they decided to embark upon a journey to re-invent quick serve. They went farm to farm in Michigan to pick out the farmers who practiced organic and ‘grass-fed’ methods of raising their animals, to put together a team of suppliers that would provide the highest quality meats, fruits and vegetables. But that’s not all. Their quest for transparency went beyond just the quality of meats and vegetables. They also put in place an open kitchen where they can be seen grilling locally sourced organic and grass-fed meats and baking fresh bread to the amusement of their guests. From farm to fork, this is truly transparent. This is not fast food. It is high quality food served fast. The restaurant is called “Loya” which means ‘grand’ in Pashto. The grandness lies in what we have to offer.
