Loumies

We tried Loumies for the first time tonight and the smell of the food when we opened the containers transported me back to my home country. This is real food made with care by people who care about hospitality and want to take care of you. Even the exchange with the lady on the phone reminded me of home, in her genuine and friendly manner. We tried several things, the beef pie was fantastic, and so was the sumac chicken sandwich. Im so tired of the overpriced mass-produced stale things we see all over this town. Go support this excellent local business instead! It’s fresh, authentic and well made Levantine food.

IF you're ever in Ithaca, this is one of the little mom and pop restaurants I would recommend you to order from. Absolutely delicious and authentic cuisine. This is something unique in the crowd of fries and burgers restaurants in Ithaca. Service is great. Their menu isn't crowded, so you know for sure that their food is freshly made every day. Such delicious food! Was ready quickly for takeout and was eaten just as fast : Got the za'atar and cheese fatayer, 7-spice chicken with labneh, and the eggplant fasolia stew and all were amazing! Clearly cooked with skill and love.

Really delicious food, in particular the hummus is probably the best I’ve ever had. Also really affordable for what you get and the owner is always super nice

Pleasantly surprised with how large the portion sizes were. We had the 7 spice chicken with rice, okra stew, lentil soup, and the meatballs. Everything was delicious and very happy to have leftovers the next day. I would highly recommend. We didn’t take any photos as we quickly ate most of it!

My husband and I were looking for something fresh and interesting for lunch last week and we decided to try Loumies. What a lovely place this is! The food is absolutely delicious! Everything is fresh baked daily. The pie dough is pillowy soft yet chewy, and the toppings and fillings are flavorful. The place is immaculately clean. You just feel good purchasing food here, knowing that it is fresh and lovingly prepared. Highly recommended!

My partner and I wanted to share a meal together before he left to return home and we decided to try out Loumies. They didn’t disappoint with delicious food that had obviously been made with care. It’s hard to find something like a home cooked meal as a college student but Loumies didn’t disappoint. Their seven spice chicken was particularly delicious. Highly recommend!

Delicious, healthy, filling, and really kind owners! You can tell they really put a lot of care into the food. I think it would be incredible if you had bowls where students could have a rice base, and a choice of 2 or 3 types of mains on top! When I went, it was hard to choose just one main dish since I wanted to try them all. An special that allows for a quick balanced meal + options would be perfect for busy students!
