This is nice campground. It seems to be well maintained and there's a variety of rv, camper and tent campsites available. Some of the RV campsites are kind of squished together though but not all of them. I like being close to the Platte River but I don't like all the noisy trains that will wake you up several times during the night.
It was a very nice experience first time camping and we really enjoyed. Lake was great, the inflatable area was excellent They offer rental of bikes,canopy and some other fun stuff. I would put a 5 stars but the restrooms and showers were pretty bad and dirty. But definitely will go back soon
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Most restrooms decently clean as well as could be expected for lake restrooms!. Decent fishing experience, typically have at least one opportunity to catch a fish. The only bummer is the train track being so close. It does get better the closer you get to the Platte River!
The only thing about the place the is a little irritating is the trains that constantly go by all night. Try looking over the area before setting up in a certain spot. We ended up right by the tracks and it was hard to sleep. Other than that awesome place to swim. Great trails around also.
Went to meet friend's and had a fire in a peaceful place. Drank way too much but no one cared. Looked like a great place to camp with tents or campers. Big lake with sandy beaches. Looks like fun!!!
We had a big family camping trip and felt the camp ground accommodated our needs. Very nice, and a lot of beautiful scenery. My biggest peeve was having to pay to take a shower! You should never have to worry about that if you are camping and swimming at a lake!!!
Campground is nice, very large. Probably very family friendly, but if you like camping for relaxation, be warned that there is a train that runs by about a hundred feet away every 20 min or so and the Motorsports/kids are pretty loud. "Get off my lawn!" :
