First time here. Best cornbread I’ve had in my life. The alligator sounds scary, but it was awesome as well. Waitress was amazing, great customer service. Called in to make a reso, was super easy great customer service on the phone. Place did seem a little dead when I went, but again great staff great food. And half price bottles of wine on Wednesday’s!
Great food and awesome service. We were there for the oilers play off, game 1 . The place is just beautiful, love the chandeliers. Their pecan crusted brie is the bomb. We also tried their Dem Bones and crab cakes. They were both delicious! Also their special for a jug of beer and nachos for $27 was so worth it! If you are looking for a place during game night and great southern food, I would recommend this gem.
Loved the food, service, and atmosphere of this spot! The brie appetizer is a must try and the meals were very big and could easily be shared. We tried many of the things on the menu and everything was lovely! Fried green tomatoes, mac and cheese, the fish, both kinds of fried chicken. All yum!Food: 5/5
Was there very early, so was not at all busy. The portion of food for the price was great. So much food. I had one of the specials, which was the Po' Boy, which is essentially a sub type sandwich. Choices were fried chicken or pulled pork. Server was perfect. Not hovering, but there when needed. This was my first time to a Louisiana Purchase. Will come back sometime to try something else. Overall, a great experience
Came here for a belated mother's Day. We went to the downtown one years ago and it was excellent. This location didn't disappoint. Very cool interior decor, very friendly service and that food for a decent price makes this place a great place to celebrate.
Went there for the first time today and must say, everything tasted fantastic. I normally have low expectations whenever i order nachos from an establishment, but this time it was hard for me stop digging into this mountain topped with shrimp, sausages and thick slices of fresh jalapenos. The service was also great! I'd finish a drink and almost immediately get a replacement!
Nice restaurant. Our server was upbeat and remained appropriately attentive throughout the visit. The food was good. Ordered jambalaya on special. I didn’t ask for any spice but the food came stock with a bit of a kick tho my colleagues didn’t think so. I didn’t try the washrooms but everywhere else looked clean and in good shape.Recommended dishesLouisiana Jambalaya
*Food* Beer Battered Sesame Shrimp: Delicious! The dips are super good, however the shrimps are DEEP DEEP fried, it's overly oily but so good. Uncle Sam's Sticky Fried Chicken: You literally get what you ask for, a sticky full-of-flavor coated chicken breast, incredibly delicious. The portion is humongous, you HAVE to come hungry. Adding waffles is a must, and the orange creamy hot sauce is sooo good. I left the place full and satisfied. *Service* Staff is super friendly and nice. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
I happened to spot this place last time we were in Edmonton & had been looking forward to coming back to town to try it. We arrived early for our reservation but we're a ble to be seated because they were dead. A resturaunt this quiet at 7pm on a Friday night is usually a very bad sign but but this place was good. For appy's my husband got the "Swamp Stick" alligator kabob & we both got cornbread. The cornbread was very crumbly which made it a bit hard to eat & was really bland. It came with butter maple flavour I think?? So that added a bit of flavour but we probably wouldn't order it again. He didn't know how to describe the alligator but said it was good. For his meal he ordered the blackened catfish. It was very spicy & fatty. This was his first time trying catfish so we're not sure if it's supposed to have a layer of fat on it but either way he didn't care for it. I had the fried chicken which comes with 2 big pieces & was more than I could ever eat so he just took a piece of that. I would definatley order that chicken again but look forward to trying other things next time we go.
Very friendly customer service and love the atmosphere. The only thing I found different from actual Louisiana gumbo is that there was a hint of a spice, like cinnamon, that I was not fond of. But overall the food was great.Food: 4/5
