You know the "secret" part at the back of the Chinese menu? You know... The one that's only for people who can read Chinese? Lotus translates theirs! Smartest thing a Chinese restaurant can do to get people to try authentic Chinese food! Also, we've been on the hunt for Taiwanese sausage after trying it for the first time a few months back and Lotus has it! Glad I took a photo of it back then. I showed it to our waiter and asked if they served it. One look and he said yes! We also had the ground pork over rice and the spicy fried chicken. Honestly I'm not sure of the names but our server, Denny, was super helpful and patient with us. We also had the egg drop and the hot and sour soups while we waited he explained that our order would take about 20 mins. One taste of the soups blew me away. I don't think I've ever had egg drop soup that actually tasted like eggs! And neither that nor the hot and sour soups were salty like most other places we've been. The service was great even though it was busy. We never felt overlooked and he even spent some of his time telling us what to order next time. We loved it so much we're planning to go back really soon.
Absolutely superb Chinese menu… Very traditionally flavored and super fresh! I highly recommend this location! Thank you for a great lunch with friends and please do try this location that is wonderful! And the price is outstandingly great!
Spicy Tangy chicken lunch special with fried rice. It was very delicious quite oily. The egg drop soup is delicious I highly recommended. But the service was very slow one waitress waiting on Six Tables during the lunch crowd
This was great. We enjoyed a generous portion of pot stickers. I ordered off the Taiwanese menu again last page of the menu, written in Chinese and English. I ordered the San Bei Squid again photo attached, and it was good again. Next time I will try something else. The Mongolian lamb was delicious, too.
Their food really delicious!! Especially Taiwanese food! I highly recommend this restaurant! And service was excellent! You will like it!
The absolute ONLY place I will eat Hot & Sour Soup as it's is PERFECT every single time and ALWAYS taste the same as expected. Steam Mini Buns never disappoint and neither do Singapore Noodles and Mushu Pork. My favorite clean eating Chinese food. I order every other weekend!
The only thing I ordered the was good is the chicken fried rice. The mongolian beef had no green onions, was not spicy, and did not have the bed of rice noodles. The fried shrimp had more breading than shrimp and I was very disappointed after spending fifty dollars plus ten dollar tip for the driver. The spring rolls were ok but I've had better. I think for the money you spend the food could be a lot better. The chicken with chinese broccoli was missing some ingredients, mainly ginger and the chicken looked and tasted like it wasn't freshly cooked. This may first and last dining experience there.
The oyster pancake is disgusting. Don’t waste your money over there.Dine in: Yes
Sold a gift card pre-pandemic, and would not accept it after. My family has been going here for 30 years. My grandma ordered food here once a week through the pandemic to help keep them going. When it came time to pay for a dinner with her sister, the owner, Lisa, refused to accept the $35 gift card. It's heartbreaking since we love their food, but if you're going to pull this kind of thing, screw you. Edit: it is ironic how the owner berated my grandma, but quickly responds to a review saying they can give us a new gift card. I would remind them that in Illinois, denying the gift card is illegal. :
