Drove from Waterbury, Ct to Norwalk hoping to find my favorite taco place still alive. When arrived they had a taco truck right outside and I was a bit confused, when I went inside they had the kitchen where they make the tacos closed and a few tables cramped into the corner of the store I could barely get thru. When I asked for a menu I saw the tacos were $ 4 each, I thought would be worth it id they tasted the same as I remember, since I was raving to my husband about this place since I used to visit here when I was a kid. First of all they brought my food from the truck and it was cold. The guy had no patience and left my food at another table. I ordered 3 tacos and a torta and a cheese quesadilla. The torta had mustard and stacked with lettuce that kept falling off everywhere no avocado. The tacos were bland terribly. I got chicken, Al pastor and chorizo. The chorizo was black and tasted old and like a slim Jim very chewy too. The chicken was horrible and the Al pastor didn’t even have pineapples. The quesadilla was plain and when I asked for sour cream the lady gave me attitude cause now she had to walk all the way to the truck as if this was my fault when I had mentioned to her when I ordered. Very terrible experience don’t go here. Very disappointed.
I have small order but wait long time, but if you want to buy a some delicious and Some exclusive like different All Stores, you need to come here and buy your delicious
A genuine Mexican Bodega - in Norwalk. Here's something I didn't expect to find in CT - a good old-fashioned authentic-as-they-come Mexican bodega, complete with a tacqueria in the back where you can get some of the best tacos you'll find this side of Mexico City! So, it's like your usual Bodega - You order in the back in Spanish. Otherwise they get flustered, and then go find someone who speaks English. Then again "dos Tacos al pastor" , and pay in the front when you're all done. In between, you get wait for your tacos or sopas, or plates, or whatever, and once you get them, load them up w/ whatever you need lime and salsa for sure! from the salsa bar, and then demolish the lot in a couple of quick bites! Do note, the orange salsa at the salsa bar is DOOM. Be warned. Then again, the radishes and limes help recover from DOOM. Anyhow, experiment if you can. The lengua and tripa are off the charts, as is, well, everything else. Do note though, the cuaritos and carnitas are pretty fried, so you'll need a lot of lime/radish/salsa to get it to the right place The bottom line though is that this place is legit. I've been looking for it since I left Chicago, and now I've found it - have fun!!!
Very good service I loved it and the delicious tacos really loved everything super clean unbelievable place I recommend them
When authentic is actually not a good thing. Questionable hygiene with food slopped onto plates. Not worth the travel or the difficulty to park.
Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long, long time.Food: 5/5
Their tacos are amazing and the rest of their food is pretty awesome too. I recommend checking them out when you have a chance.
DELICIOUS!! You can choose any of their Tacos, and you will be satisfied. I know because I tried all of them. Still will go with the classic chicken or beef, but all the rest are good as well.
