All I have to say is WOW! They made us the most amazingly beautiful charcuterie board for New Year's Eve. We just moved here to Sturgeon Falls and this was our first restaurant experience and they knocked our socks off! They definitely know how to make a great first impression. Bravo & well done!
Food is ok to good, had breakfast here. Food was as requested. Service though was less than standard. Wanted to make sure food didn't have allergens was given the product that other guests would be served out of told that "she was too busy to check herself". So myself the customer was handling to be served to other customers. Seems.... Wrong. Also when being seated it was too much for our waiter to come get us and bring us to the table, we were instead "finger snapped" to come to sit at the table. Because patrons of this establishment are dogs. I realize I might be critical here. But service is part of the establishments operations and i was truly dissatisfied in that regard. People are not cattle. Ask, greet, answer, and cater, if you need more staff, than hire.
We usually go to Larry's chip stand but due to it being closed because of a fire we decided to try Lorraine's for the first time. I can't tell you how disappointed we were. We left still feeling hungry and very ripped off! As for the "loaded" philly steak and cheese, it was hard to find the steak. It was a mere sliver of a shaved fast fry steak on a big bun with a ton of onion, way to much a few mushroom scattered about and absoloutely no cheese at all. The fries were just edible and that's it. All in all a bad experience and not worth the money. The place was invested with mosquitoes and we were bitten several times inside the resturant while trying to eat! To add insult to injury, they took a $7.86 tip right if the top of our bill! They take it from you whether you want to leave one or not! I would not recommend this place, I won't be back and if you do go, bring cash so you can choose whether or not it is worthy of an almost $8 tip.
I’ve eaten at Lorraines twice since I moved here, the first time was amazing! We had burgers and fries! Sooo good! But this time I got the eggs Benedict to eat at work. I asked previously when I first ate there what kind of sauce they use for the Benedict and they told me the brand was The one that I liked. But it’s not the same… not only that but there are eggs shells in the eggs! Kind of disappointing:
I was not impressed. I ordered the ham omelet with Swiss cheese which they didn't have swiss. Take it off the menu then. The potatoes were disgusting. Not even crisp for Hashbrowns. They were more like boiled. Needless to say, I will not recommend Lorraines.
Sad occasion for the first time here. Went to a wake here. The food and service was good as was the atmosphere. Felt like I was at a local restaurant in a town I was raised. My only issue was parking, not enough or just not marked accessible parking. But no reasons not to go back. Thank you for hosting our family while we mourned.
Service was excellent and Wait time was short. Breakfast was as I had ordered.I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food, service, atmosphere. Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in town.
