On the page it says that from 10 am a lane is available for the public and they do not allow an adult to swim accompanied by a 7-year-old girl who has been swimming since she was 2 years old.nIt was only exercise swimming for 1 hour or less.nThey have very basic prejudices about exercise and children.nnComment from 7 days later:nWe returned during public hours and the entire crew was excellent with us. Even the lady at the reception from the last time.nWe are very grateful for their attention to me and my daughter, who I believe with occasions like today, will always have this pool and moments saved forever in her perfectly happy side of her childhood and personal development.
I’m extremely disappointed and angry about the lack of safety and professionalism I witnessed during my child’s swimming lesson at this facility.nnThe instructor showed no effort to assess the children's swimming abilities. My son, 5 years old who does not know how to swim, was told to jump in right after meeting her at his first class. Thankfully, he asked her nicely to go into the pool to catch him—which she did reluctantly and without a smile.nnLater, she asked the childrennto retrieve a ring from the bottom of the pool. When he tried, he began to drown. I saw the panic on his face and immediately yelled for help. Shockingly, the instructor hadn’t even noticed he was struggling until I shouted.nnInstead of comforting my son afterward, she blamed him for not holding the bar properly. When I explained that he couldn’t swim and should have been kept within reach, she continued making excuses and showed no remorse.nnThis experience was terrifying for both of us. I cannot understand how someone so cold and inattentive is allowed to teach young children. I hope the management takes this seriously because this was a close call that could’ve ended far worse.nnParents—please watch your children closely during lessons. I regret trusting that he was in safe hands!!!
Probably the worst pool in all CoV pools. Schedules got changed frequently while no update were announced on their website; Karen staff and sometimes Karen clients, yes I read similar comments on other reviews, which means I’m not the only one feeling this; rent out or segregate specific area for lessons or kids even if the lanes were overcapacity, etc. it’s better off educating the staff there that it’s a city pool for general public in the first place. It sucks now.
Love this little pool been coming to it since the 90s as a kid. Its got tiny water slide and diving broad and rope swing. It has a tiny gym and sauna and hot tub. And washrooms & change rooms ,lockers ,showers. Vending machines, parking, places to chill , its located next to a kids play park . It has public transportation the #33 & #25 busses stop here . Staff are great .its kid friendly, wheelchair accessible . Its a very chilled environment unlike the hectic Hillcrest type . You can use your one card /leisure access card here Besides credit cards or cash .
no parking 7am to 4pm dont go here even the streets are full of cars weekdays or weekends is like a zoo. dont bother going.
