Office staff are not helpful at all, rude, really just don’t seem to care. My son only went for one year to attend the JPHL hockey program which is said to be accommodated by this school. My son said for the whole year he could not use the bathrooms because there was always at least 5 students vaping in all the bathrooms. This leads me to believe there is lack of supervision as my son attends a High school in the north for Grades 10 and 12 and he has never come across this catholic school. couldn’t accommodate his academic load as 3 courses were only offered in the morning for Grade 12 so we were told he would have to take Math 30, Math 30-1 or Chem 30 online to also be able to fit hockey in.nNot accommodating, not helpful, not friendly. Awful 1 year experience with the public school board and specifically this school.
Teachers in the dash one stream and most options the ones I took are absolutely amazing, but from what I've seen and heard guidance is horrifically biased against non-academic students. The dichotomy of most of these reviews stem from the atrocious misbehaviour of some specific teachers and assistant principles. I heard from a trusted source that guidance can't be trusted to enforce a student's learning accommodations in a class room; In fact, the person responsible for distributing accommodations has 0 empathy and understanding for how and why students need them. They don't help students with poor home life, instead making things worse by informing controlling, abusive parents about what students confide in them despite warnings not to from those same students. Someone I know lost a friend because guidance shared what that student begged them not to to their parents. Do not think that this school can support you if you need learning accommodations or have trouble at home. I'm going to encourage my friends to share about their experiences anonymously here so more light can be shone on some specific teachers and staff for their truly abhorrent words and actions.nnDon't let this take away from amazing teachers and staff present in the building. You know who you are, those who can be extremely proud in themselves, and those who should find eternal shame with what they've done.
Can't properly educate kids. Kids don't know a basic of return or dropping of staff that been found . A kid from this school found our card and spent it on different snacks and gift cards...not just parents responsible to build a habits to be honest , school has big impact on students too, since a student committed a fraud...what other values they Beaverbrook can teach kids?? Perhaps hitting ?
terrible school with terrible students and teachers. got absolutely no support here and coming to school here everyday made me depressed and made my anxiety worse. thankfully I am graduated now and away from this terrible school
All schools need a decent cafeteria ! Period. Fries and gravy. Salads, fruit, it's possible . .and payoff wnnill be 100 times pay back
