As a long-time customer, I've consistently appreciated the high quality of products at this establishment. However, my recent experience left me a bit unsettled. While the quality remains top-notch, I encountered an issue with the service. The attendant at the self-checkout seemed impatient and nervous, which was a departure from the usual friendly service I've come to expect. Despite this, I'm inclined to maintain my five-star rating based on the consistently excellent product offerings.
Longo's is a wonderful grocery store. The selection isn't huge but you can get good value for your money. There's a lot of options for organic produce as well. The employees are so helpful and kind.
Less than a year ago I wrote: Such a shame, I've loved this store for so many years but I doubt if I'll be coming here anymore because it's changed. The last three times at least they were out of their own refrigerated Alfredo sauce which I absolutely love. They also sell my favourite cranberry quinoa muffins which they are continually out of. In fact the display and their bakery department looked vastly different than it did in the flyer. There was only one cash register opened and I waited far too long. The last time I was told I only had a few things so I could go to the customer service checkout counter. Then they told me I could use the self check out and I said I will never use them. They wasted 10 minutes trying to talk me into doing their job for them. I can't imagine I'm the only one that has noticed this store going downhill over the last little while. Very disappointed.nUpdate: I believe that things have changed for the better in this store. I haven’t had problems with items being out of stock over the past few months. The self check out may be convenient for some but one of the biggest reasons I don’t mind paying a little more to shop here is that there is always a friendly face ready to assist. That’s what sets this store apart from other grocery stores.
I love this store to buy my groceries. It has a Starbucks, the produce is always top quality and prices are fair. They have great ideas for entertaining and now a great selection for host/Christmas gifts. The store is always clean and organized. I've always had friendly staff to help me out.
The new cashiers are abrupt to the point of being rude what happened to the wonderful cashiers that were there before? Oxana And Alice are wonderful.nValue has gone down a bag of chips is now six dollars? The meat quality is good as is the fish. The fruits and vegetables are sometimes being sold when they’re going bad and not at a discount and the bakery is lower quality and usually the staff in bakery are unhappy.
