Everyone I have worked with at this location has been great with the exception of Henry. This dude is as rude they come. Zero customer service skills. I have been a customer for several years.nnI bought a Beta91A mic a while back and it started to make a weird noise so I sent it for repair about a month ago. While I waited for the repair, the store let me borrow another used Beta 91A in the meantime. The repair came back and I returned the borrowed mic. I started using the repaired one, but the same issue persisted, so I took it back and requested an exchange for a new one, Valerie North kindly helped me take it back and ordered a new one for me Oct. 4th. I have called a few times about an update for the delivery of the new one as I was told it would arrive within a week. It has been 2 weeks and every time I called, Henry responded, I tried to explain the situation and every time he would just raise his voice and cut me off.nnHe does not seem to know what's going on or how to go about it. I asked if I could borrow the same mic from another store in the mean time since this store does not have it in stock or demo every time I called. He just kept on saying I would just get an email and that he does not have the slight idea of an eta. The email never happened after 2 weeks. Anyway, he just decided to hang up the phone in the middle of me talking. I tried to call back but he sent me to voicemail.
I would like to thank Erik, who is the instrument technician who tuned up my bassoon. What was described in the items that would be addressed, was done far above any expectation I had. The cleaning and polishing made the bassoon look brand new. Replacement of some pads, along with other procedures, made my bassoon play amazingly !!!!!! What a difference. It almost played by itself. Erik is a true genius and is a highly gifted instrument technician. I would hope that Mr. McQuade and Mr. Long, would give him the keys to the corporate jet for a long weekend.nThanks Erik, you're the best !!!!!!!
Worst L&M location, the manager was annoyingly unreasonable, but the staff who work there are much nicer. I had walked 5km to sell a flying V with a hardshell case, which ran me for about 165$+ tax just for the case alone.. But when I brought it in the store the manager offered me 35$ for it, and on top of that, he didn’t even give me an offer for the guitar. He told me I needed to be 18, despite the fact that my birthday is a month away, and I even brought in a legal guardian to abide by the store’s policy, he still refused to take it. I left empty handed. Never going back. Do not go here unless you wanna get scammed!!!
Met up with Matthew Greer in Pickering… He was an excellent communicator, and joyous man. He gave me 'sound' advice on the best sounding equipment. He improved my selection of guitar essentials by offering his experienced knowledge.nMatthew provided a fantastic feeling while visiting Long & McQuade, Pickering location.n{It's worth the drive to feel valued.}
I wanna thank Brenden for being so helpful in finding me the right acoustic strings. He was honest, thoughtful and made the experience very memorable. Best experience in a music store I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
