This was where i use to go skating maybe 10 plus years ago. Was a good area. Lots of hockey games held here. Lots of parking space. Located near birch park. Baseball diamond behind this picture. I don't know know if this place is still open because of covid. The arena exterior looks like it needs to be renewed because it looks old.
The arena is a nice area, if you have a dog and kids great place for a walk, I didn't go into the facility so I doing know how it is.nnThe area isn't the safest at night as it is a high crime area. Cops patrol the area, quite frequently and will inspect any suspicious behaviour. I would recommend going during the day.
For a place built in 1960's it stands the test of time. Nice big heaters for the parents, which is a lifesaver for the days where I'm at the rink for two or more hours. Small canteen offers popcorn and coffee, which is surprisingly decent. Those heaters though. That's what makes this place so much better than other indoor rinks.nnEdit: small canteen now closed most of the time. Took one star away for that.

My grandson plays hockey once a week here. It can use little TLC.
