Such a stunning location. The service was extremely quick. The second you get seated you're given tortilla chips and salsa to snack on while waiting for the main meal. Impressed by how frequently our waitress checked up on us. Highly recommend the Mexican poutine, both a comfort food and very flavourful. Their cocktails are also extremely delicious. The fajita meats were cooked perfectly. Overall a delicious meal.
The food was really good. We also had an awesome waiter that understood that I might not be able to speak but that I was able to type on my phone instead I have autism and had noise cancelling earphones to help me cope. So, in brief, good food and good ability to adapt to disabilities that aren't always visible. We also had someone in our group who has many allergies that aren't your typical allergies and our waiter was very good at making sure that his allergies weren't in his food. We were visiting family in Ottawa and stopped here. The food was great. Served on time and hot. It only gets a four star review because of one reason. Looking from the outside in the place has a worn look to it. The front face has paint peeling which really gives a bad visual. But great food and employees
We were First timers and were not disappointed, we were in Ottawa shopping for my sister's wedding, I am thrilled we choose lone star to enjoy our dinner, super fast customer service. We went for a family birthday gathering. There were 18 of us. It was a lot of people for a Saturday night. So we recommend booking ahead which we did a month before. We were arrived it was quick service about 10 mins to get our tables ready. Food took a little longer but we knew to expect that its Saturday night. Food was hot fresh and amazing. We shared the faitas for two. You get chicken, beef & shrimp. All you toppings, cheese, rice, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream. Was so good!! Tender, well seasoned beef and chicken. Highly recommend if your having a date night. Wonderful service even though it was very busy. Only thing we'd change was the music. It was a wee bit loud for a family gathering couldn't hear eachother well. Parking: Smaller lot on the side. More parking in the back. This was St.Laurant location. Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp to get it. And washrooms on first floor.
A group of friends and I went to this location which we normally wouldn’t go to. Normally the service and food is really good. This time not so much. I ordered a steak medium rare, which was communicated to the waitress and on the bill. I got a steak that was raw. The unfortunate problem was that the waitress did not check up on us until everyone else at the table was done their meal. And for some reason it took longer to get my steak even though it was raw. I have had steaks at different restaurants and there is a difference between rare and medium rare. Look at the photo and judge it for yourself. Still paid for the meal even though I didn’t eat the steak. It was the most expensive fries and sides I have ever paid for. Think twice before ordering a meal that isn’t their signature dish. Not going back to this location.
Good service , clean place , staff are amazing , chips and salsa delicious, guacamole missing some taste , taco shell , rice and the taco meat were dry , fajitas were missing some taste ! Good experience overall , I would probably try this place one more time .
Bad service. The server was rude and was nowhere to be seen. Was never checked up on to see how the food was, or to see if refills were wanted for drinks. They were lucky I was kind enough to leave a tip still. Also, do not have the Nacho's. They were very basic, and the cheese was awful. They used processed cheese, and they just did not taste great. The others I was with, were really unimpressed. Very disappointed. If you really want Lone Star go to the one on Hunt Club. I've only been to each location once but I will go back to Hunt Club, and not go back to this location.
Best Fajitas in town. Great summer drink selection. Only complaint would be the loud environment especially on weekend nights. But otherwise awesome place to go for lunch fajitas with friends or dinner cocktails and well fajitas again.
All 3 of us enjoyed our meal here. Service was great, quality and portions of food were very good. The rib steak was better than the striploin, my wife had tacos and it was a huge portion for her. I will return, there is nothing wrong with anything here.
