Went during margapalooza! They have 20 different margaritas to try. Our kid had the chicken fingers and fries while hubby and I had the spicy Mango martini very spicy with jalapeno and the blue shark drink sweet & refreshing. We were served complimentary nachos and salsa right away. We shared the XL chicken burrito which was big enough for both of us, we were stuffed, like a burrito
Best thin nachos I have ever had, served complimentary. You can watch the Fajitas being made fresh on a machine. The flight of trio margaritas was good, but needed more of the individual fruit flavor. My husband's rib and chicken dinner was good. My Santa Fe eatable bowl with steak could have been better. From the menu I expected more of the Santa Fe ingredients but it was mostly lettuce, no dressing. I asked for a salsa and Chipotle sauce to give it flavour. So was diapointed, I should have returned it. Portions are just right Vegetarian options: There are vegie options
Service wuz good and friendly, the steak and ribs were great. The coleslaw had no flavor neither did the beans. Will go back soon to try something else from the menu.
The worst service I've had anywhere in over a decade. Failed on all fronts. No one at front door for over 5 minutes. Took 15 minutes to get a table in an almost empty restaurant. Half of the tables were covered in dishes still none were cleared during our entire meal waited another 20 minutes for drinks. When food came they realized they'd forgotten an order kids chicken fingers was assured it would be out quick but the rest of us were almost done when it finally came. Kids quesadillas had several hairs in them. Steak for fajitas tasted like charcoal. Shredded cheese was dry and hard. Waited 25 minutes after finishing to get bill you could hear the staff all partying it up in the back. No staff seen in the restaurant for over 30 minutes.
Not very happy with the cleanliness or presentation of the food provided..don’t see too much of crowd but food was delivered late The taste doesn’t stand out or nothing exceptional that I need to to visit again to try some other items in menu.
Visited for the first time after the dinner rush. Unfortunately they were understaffed which created a long wait at the door. Our server/bar tender was friendly, but she was focused more on socializing rather than tending to her tables. The food was alright and the prices were fair. I recommend sticking to what they’re known for and only ordering the fajitas. They were delicious and served in large portions. Avoid the Brisket Queso Dip, it was unpalatable. Get the original if you really want queso.
As I remember ….flew into Toronto Sunday from Calgary, this was the first place I headed for……last time I visited was some years ago and they still have great food at today’s prices is great value for money. Had the tortilla chicken with all the fixings, not quite the original taste used to be more spicy, maybe ask if they could add a jalapeño in the cook…like it used to be but close enough, potions smaller , like everything else these days….. but, great the margaritas large was great …. Kid-friendliness: Always been a great place to bring the kids…. I’ve been bringing mine for the last 15 years
I am BAFFLED at the service received last night. My boyfriend came in around 7:15pm Sunday night at this location. Hostess was great, quickly brought us to the table. The hostess served us our chips and salsa about 10 minutes after we were seated. We never met our server until 20 minutes after seated. She asked what we wanted to drink. Our drinks came 10 minutes after that, but she never took our order and ran off. 30 minutes after serving our drinks to us, she asked us what we wanted to eat. Are you serious? At this point, both of our drinks and waters were finished long ago. We asked for the bill, she gave us attitude over it, and surprisingly she actually charged us.. for her poor service. We would have never came here if we knew the service would be this bad. We were debating this place and Swiss chalet. We made the wrong choice. Over an hour of waiting without getting our order taken. Management needs to check the cameras of this place.
Worst service ever. Went with a group to celebrate 2 birthdays. Waited 1/2 for service. Finally had to ask for a server. Ordered appetizers which ended up on wrong bill. Server didn't know how to redeem coupon one couple had. Manager finally showed up after all had paid bills. Measly offer of 2 free apps. Won't be back to this location. To little too late.
In many of the restaurants we have eaten in lately the service has been terrible, of course it’s not the restaurants fault? Nobody wants to work, most restaurants have zero staff for lunches so have to close or risk running with just one or two. We decided to give lone star a shot as we have been really disappointed in our regular haunts. And yes there was a visible lack of staff but the server working was ‘busting his butt’ to get to tables!! The food was very good, the service while a little slow was ok!! Loved the dessert and we left happy!! So yes would recommend! And to all you people ‘banging on’ about service in restaurants, take a look around? Have you tried finding someone to help you at Lowe’s, Canadian tire or any store these days??????
