Yup, ground lobster, definitely from a can. It tasted ok.not worth the price. The menu said hand cut fries, nope, they are the frozen ones. Service was good, although we were the only ones there. We did see the reviews before going in, but thought we would try anyway. This place could be so much better. There is a beautiful view of the bay from the dining room. One star for the waitress and one for the view.
Food is pretty good and the price isn’t too bad for the proportions. However, the wait time was a bit long for the amount of customers they were receiving and our waitress wasn’t particularly friendly. She didn’t seem to have much interest in our orders but the couple at the front desk were friendly.
-No signs to wait to be seated - servers had no idea what tables had arrived first. -Only two servers who could not keep up with the amount of tables. -1 hour into waiting we got one of the children's dishes, no drink. -30 mins later my wife's plate arrived. Still no drinks. -20 mins later my plate arrived and had to ask for our drinks. 3 of the 4 plates now served now 2 hours in, bill came next, before last plate. Waiting.... At this point I am telling new customers to leave, so is one of the waitresses...... Went to pay and told them to remove the 4th dish since we didn't get it Kraft dinner for a toddler but they said it was coming so I said we'd take it to go. It was an 11 dollar plastic container with a half a cup of old dried out Kraft dinner. I was dumbfounded and in shock..... 80 dollars later and an angry drive home. I don't know why I just paid and left. Not a sign of any management or leadership. Very disappointing as we spent so much for a waste of time. Stay away.
a must try is their deep fried clams, lobster roll and their scallop and shrimp platter.prices are reasonable.worth the stop before visiting the bay of fundy.
Nice place to stop and eat. Service was wonderful and probably the best burger I have had in awhile! Thanks! I will be sure to stop back again!
Definitely not worth eating here, first impressions - no one greeted us it wasn't busy we stood around for 5 minutes until we were told to find our own table and then thrown a menu. Literally! The food came out WAY too quickly, with sounds of the microwave in the background that should have be our sign to leave. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and a Cesar salad - the salad was sad looking in watered down sauce and it was basically a bunch of lettuce with a few croutons on-top. The mac and cheese was definitely lean cuisine/box mac and cheese and I'm 99% sure on that, considering the taste and consistency. The "lobster" part of the cheese dish was a few pieces on-top and soggy, overall not at all worth 20$ Other comments from customers : "The soup is tasteless and a weird consistency, tastes like they added lots of corn starch" "Well the fries tasted just like the ones frozen from a bag" Overall - read the negative reviews and BELIEVE them. Either this place has gone down hill in quality or they got a lucky dish.
I'm honestly unsure of how to rate this. Service? 2 out of 5 Quality and speed of service after ordering? 3 or 5 out of 5 depending on the dish. I think the problem is that it looks like a restaurant but doesn't at all function like a restaurant. There is no indication that you should wait to be seated, or even anyone to receive you when you enter. You just have to sit down, hope for the best and maybe be proactive in getting the Waitresses attention The waitress was nice and took our order and we received our food quickly. We were, however, two of six guests. We ordered the lobster rolls, which, I was shocked to find were the best we had on our trip. I also got a bacon cheeseburger which, was more like something you might expect to find cooked at home by someone who doesn't call themselves "grill master". Ultimately, the lobster rolls won the day, as did the pleasant and friendly attitude of our server. Don't come here expecting a restaurant experience. Don't expect that its proximity to Hopewell Rocks is going to make it a 5 star establishment. It's located in a tiny community attached to a small motel and things just move a little slower there. Think, chip truck with indoor seating, or a place to stay dry while you wait for the tides to go out.
We enjoyed our meal here while waiting for the tide to rise, as we were doing the kayak the rocks tour. Very close to the park. Had the prime rib burger and the fish and chips. The fish was hand breaded and delicious. Coconut cream pie was also delicious Our waitress Donna was delightful! Would definitely recommend. Fast service, hot food :
Fish and Chips are nice and crispy.Their homemade tartar sauce so so so good!
Visited in July 2020 during covid-19 restrictions. It was around 5:30pm and no one else was there. Tables were spaced further apart than usual and some tables off to the side that couldn't be used. Young waitress said we could sit anywhere. Had seafood chowder, cheesecake, and tea. Food was excellent. Seafood very thick. All seemed fresh. Price was tad expensive but reasonable. Waitress was attentive to our needs. Relaxing place for casual place to eat. You should drop by on your way to Fundy or while visiting Hopewell rocks.... Great local business that could use our support.
